Indulge in your fairytale holiday as you explore the untouched Island of Low Isles, situated in the Great Barrier Reef. Departing from Port Douglas, you will set sail aboard a stunning 30 metre sailing catamaran, Wavedancer, and enjoy the most spectacular ocean views as you cruise along the water before arriving at the Island. You will be spoilt for choice on what do to the moment you arrive in the lagoon. Swim in your own designated area or join a guided snorkel tour and explore the crystal clear turquoise waters that are teeming with marine life. Marvel at the colourful coral gardens and spot an abundance of sea creatures including green sea turtles, tropical fish and giant clams as you swim or if snorkelling is not for you, you can experience the reef from the dry cabin of a glass bottom boat.

After spending some time snorkelling and discovering the underwater world, you can explore the tropical forest of the Island on a guided nature walk or simply relax on the impossibly white sand and enjoy the serenity of your surroundings. Recharge with a delicious tropical lunch as well as morning and afternoon tea or if you're looking for something a little stronger, indulge in a cocktail from the boat's fully licensed bar at your own expense. After several hours of exploring and relaxing, you will jump back onboard the Wavedancer and make the one hour commute back to Port Douglas. This full day cruise offers a host of activities for you to discover the hidden gems of the Great Barrier Reef.

Poor Day on the reef.

Extremely disappointing. There was 0 visibility and the coral at Lowe Isle is damaged. The whole day was pretty much a non event. We received an email stating that due to the 2023 hurricane the coral may not br as expected. If this is the case the tour should not have been run. The marine biologist was great. She was knowledgeable and passionate, and the staff was great. But the main point of seeing the coral and sealife was borderline pathetic. Basically a while day wasted. And to top it off it was a 10th birthday present for our son.

The whole day going to Lowe Isle on Wavedancer was fantastic. The crew, the service the meal were all amazing. Very good value for money.

Not as expected

Quicksilver company didn't inform us of the visibility and weather conditions on Low Isles before check in and don't even talk about reprogramming this special day to another day when they apparently consider it fine. I wouldn't go again to this tour on a partly cloudy day and would now ask to the company if there will not be a low tide sea condition too. We couldn't see the corals well, there wasn't enough water to snorkel well and it was too windy. Be prepared to book on a perfect sunny day to really have what you paid for. Also, the morning and afternoon snacks were really poor... (a few biscuits and tasty cheese from the supermarket) glad, a the end of it, we could have had a glass of sparkling wine offered.

We have a great time on this experience. Although I feel like the day is very rushed. I think that for the price the experience should be extended by either leaving earlier or arriving back later. Once we arrived to the island, to have time to snorkel, have lunch, and see the island and really take the time to enjoy the experience it felt very rushed.

The weather wasn’t the best for us, but overall the experience was well worth it. Staff were all very friendly and informative. Although I personally didn’t see much while snorkelling, I still got to enjoy the glass boat and tour of the island. Not to mention the lunch was delicious.

The crew and their boat were excellent. A very easy day catering for all ages and capacities.The trip out was easy and informative however I did struggle with the seal on my mask when snorkeling.The singer on the way back topped off a lovely day.

The whole day was so smooth, from pick up at our accomodation to boarding the boat and enjoying the experiences offered at Low Isles. We went on a guided snorkelling tour which was so beautiful! The lunch was refreshing and we had time to explore the island for ourselves afterwards. Would definitely do this again!

The abundance of up close and personal sea life

From the moment you stepped on board the crew were friendly and knowledgeable. Willing to answer any questions or help in any way. When we arrived at our destination they were very clear with the how the day would pan out. The lunch provided was delicious with more than enough food for everyone. The best part was snorkelling out on the low isles and seeing all that the Great Barrier Reef has to offer.

A relaxing snorkelling experience

Great day out on the ocean. Lunch was yummy, selection of prawns, cold meats, salad, pasta and later cheese and crackers and a complimentary glass of champagne. Coffee, tea, juice, water and biscuits also included in price. Snorkelling around low isles was quite relaxing with a marine biologist guiding a snorkel tour. Saw a lot of colourful fish (small and large), lots of turtles around the island too and even saw some reef sharks! Tide was out so a little harder to see the coral/creatures. If you weren’t snorkelling you could take a guided walk around the island, do a glass bottom boat tour (didn’t see much doing this) or just stay on the boat and enjoy some drinks and food. Tour guides were great, very friendly and lots of knowledge.
