Experience the thrill of motorsport with a two and a half hour Formula Ford race car drive at the Wodonga TAFE race track. After a comprehensive safety briefing and expert guidance from a professional race car driver, suit up and secure yourself into the six point racing harness before getting behind the wheel of an F1 style race car.

Positioned just inches above the ground, you'll feel every bump, vibration and steering input as the highly responsive car reacts to your movements. Hear the engine roar just behind your head and feel the wind rush past as you power around the track, experiencing the excitement of authentic track driving.

Complete five adrenaline fuelled laps as you put your driving skills to the test and experience the speed and responsiveness of a purpose built Formula Ford. With professional guidance throughout, this is an exhilarating introduction to the world of motorsport that will leave you wanting to get back behind the wheel.

Important information

Session Length

This experience is two and a half hours in duration
Available on select days from 8am to 4pm
Please arrive 45 minutes prior to the experience start

Guidelines

Minimum age is 16 years old
Participants under 18 years old need permission from a parent or guardian
Maximum wight is 120kg
Minimum height is 155cm and maximum height is 188cm
Participants must hold a P standard manual licence and be able to drive a manual car
A liability waiver must be signed by all participants before the experience
Not suitable for pregnant women or people with certain medical conditions

Cancellation

Reschedule your booking up to 14 days before the date of your experience. Reschedule requests inside the 14-day period leading up to your scheduled experience are not permitted.
Changes are not permitted within 14 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
No refunds will be offered on any booked experiences

Spectators

Spectators are permitted.

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider.

Dress Code

Please wear clothing suitable to weather conditions on the day. You may bring your own race gear if desired. A hat, sunscreen are recommended and socks are mandatory.

Great experience to do, not great to watch

Got this for my husband, he enjoyed the experience, I went as a spectator. Be prepared to wait around for 20 mins before any track action as you are not allowed in the briefing. After that you are provided with no seating or coverage and are expected to stand in a field with minimal visibility to the track. With the amount I paid for this you’d expect they’d be able to build a little grandstand for spectators to sit in and watch. I also was not offered to come over and take a photo with my husband as he finished his laps, every other group was. So yeah not a great experience for the amount of money they ask for, also note that if you cause damage to the car this is your responsibility as said in the briefing.

No seat in the formula 1 cars

The day was a great new experience but for the amount of money no coffee or drinks were provided, no seat in the car only sitting on a steal seat and some foam was placed behind my dads back that was it. If there was a seat in the car it would have made it a better experience as it was very rough and nothing held you in apart from a seat belt. The suits provided were dirty. The staff were lovely. Don’t bring a dog otherwise you can’t even step foot near the experience to watch you have to watch in a paddock beside the racetrack with nothing to sit on and no shade cover. Wouldn’t recommend this experience

I bought this experience for my son and he had the best time! The vehicles and drive was explained to them very well, they were taken out on the track for further instructions on how to navigate the turns and what to expect. Track time was an incredible experience so I was told and he absolutely loved it!

Such an amazing and thrilling experience for those who love adrenaline. Despite having to reschedule the experience due to covid, it was well worth the wait. I originally had the 10 lap experience although purchased the extra 10 laps which was the best decision as it takes a few laps to get comfortable and know the car and track. Highly recommend having a go of these amazing cars.
