Experience the unforgettable thrill of driving an F1-Style, open-wheel Formula Ford Race Car. Built for speed it is capable of achieving lap times similar to that of a V8 Supercar which is significantly faster than a Porsche 911.

Driving a single-seater Formula Ford racing car is unlike anything else. These are real race cars! You'll be strapped into the open cockpit by a six-point racing harness with the quick release steering wheel in front of you. You'll have the gear stick on your right connected to a 4-speed close ratio, purpose-built racing gearbox. Seated only a couple of inches off the ground you can feel every bump and vibration as your super-responsive car reacts to every tiny adjustment you make. You will drive 20 blistering laps of Sydney Motorsport Park, Corporate Hill Section of the South Circuit. This consists of 2 additional orientation laps in a road car and then 20 laps on your own.

If you'd prefer not to be behind the wheel, passenger experiences are also available.

Important information

Session Length

Please allow approximately 2-3 hours for the experience
Sessions run from 7:30am - 4:30pm, with 2 dates scheduled per month (dependent on availability)
Booking time will be confirmed by the experience provider
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the session start time
Please contact RedBalloon if you are looking to book more than six months in advance

Once this experience is booked, it is non-refundable and cannot be cancelled, however changes can be made as per below

Guidelines

Not suitable for pregnant women or those who suffer from certain medical conditions
Participants must have "P" standard manual driving license and be able to operate a manual gearbox
Participants will be required to sign an indemnity accepting liability for any damage to the car
Minimum age is 16 years. Participants under the age of 18 years will require a parent/guardian to sign such forms on their behalf
Maximum weight is 120kg
The minimum height on this experience is 155 cm, and the maximum is 188 cm

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 14 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 14 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
No refunds will be offered on any booked experiences

Weather

This experience is an outdoor event and will go ahead in wet/damp conditions. If the supplier deems the track unsafe, due to extreme weather conditions, we will reschedule your experience to a convenient later date. We do not offer refunds. In damp or wet conditions, you must still arrive for your allocated session/event unless advised otherwise by the supplier.

Dress Code

If you have your own race gear, feel free to bring them along. Otherwise we supply all safety gear, helmets, boots and suits. Bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and socks.

Other Info

When you are driving you are responsible for any damage done to the race vehicle. This event is an all weather event, and in the event that your session cannot run due to weather conditions, we will reschedule your experience to another suitable date and time. Cancellations are subject to the adventure provider.

This experience takes place at Eastern Creek NSW - 30 minutes drive from Sydney CBD.

The team at Anglo don't want people to just have a good time, they make sure you learn something too! If your interested in any kind of motor racing i couldn't recommend this enough. They teach you enough to get out there but also allow you to push your self (to a safe limit). I almost booked another 20 laps on the spot it was that good!
