Embark on a journey of history and discovery within the Eurimbula National Park on board the unmissable pink amphibious Larc! Rich in both Indigenous and European history, this region is an interesting stretch of Queensland to explore. Begin meandering through the township of Bustard Bay and 1770, and cross four tidal creeks before four wheel driving up to the historic Bustard Head Lightstation, the state's only operating lighthouse. Hear tales of triumph and tragedy as early settlers and light-keepers tried to tame this remote section and tour through the light-keeper's cottage museum and cemetery. Continue downhill to the picnic area at the southern end of Bustard Head for a delicious lunch, before sand boarding down 35 metre dunes at Middle Island.
Due to Australian Building Standards, children under the age of eight years are not permitted to enter the lighthouse tower.

Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are recommended. Wear cool, comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes for walking.
