Bought for my wife and I as a birthday present, this was just good solid, clean fun. The guides were amazing, funny and always happy to help. Transfers were easy and hassle-free. The water in Little Mulgrave River was lovely and refreshing, absolutely perfect temperature to counter the toasty morning heat. I suspect this could be a little more fun to do during or towards the end of the wet season when the river is REALLY flowing, but there was more than enough current in early November to get through. Don't go expecting full-on rapids, this is just a gentle float through the forest with some small rapids interspersed. On the tubing the guides helped us whenever needed but allowed us to try to get out of situations ourselves which was great. Such an enjoyable day. Would recommend.
★★★★★ ★★★★★ This experience lacked every piece of adventure. Mariano 29 December 2020 We arrived at the operator's office in Cairns at 7.45 am as requested. We left their office at 8.15 and drove for 45 minutes along an uninteresting road. We stopped at a small gravel area on the side of the road, we got off the bus, chose our gear and were given detailed instructions. We then walked probably 200 m to the river, although it took about 30 minutes as we were 40-50 people. Once we got to the river the guides helped each person to seat on the tube and start heading down the river. We tubed for 20 minutes on rapids grade 1 and 2 and were suddenly asked to get out of the river and walk to a bridge 2 m high that crossed it. The adventure was to jump from the bridge to the water. This took about 45 minutes considering the number of people. Once on the tubes again we continued downstream and after less than 30 minutes we were asked to get out of the river, walk to the road and get ready to return to Cairns. In summary, we spent about 4-5 hrs (from 7.45 am to 12 pm); however, we tubed for less than 50 minutes with a lot of waiting times. Measured by GPS we did about 900 m of tubing on the river. Based on the above facts I was very disappointed with this experience and also were my wife and daughter. I also heard a few people complaining about how short the actual tubing experience had been.
