After a briefing on general drifting principals and safety, you will be strapped in alongside with professional instructors to show you how it’s done, before you take the wheel yourself to learn and perfect the core fundamental techniques including drift handbrake entry, drift donut and figure eight drift. The core fundamental techniques are then combined to form full flowing drifts including drift entry and drift link. The goal for the day is to teach you the techniques to have the car set up completely sideways, well before the corner and maintaining a full drift around the turn. This advanced course is perfect for anyone who wants to learn the full spectrum of drifting techniques. Next up, prepare for a hair raising drifting experience as you are strapped in with D1 World All Star and Drift Australia Champion, Fernando Wiehrl, as he and another professional competition drifter will take you on the hot laps of your life in a real, head to head in a drift battle!

All cars are purpose built specifically for drifting to give you the full, raw experience. These include Nissan Skyline R32, Nissan Silvia S14, Nissan Silvia S15, Nissan 350z, Toyota 86, Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon. Learn to push these professional cars to the limit on a safe, track environment.

Technique 1 - Drift Handbrake Entry: Learn how to initiate the drift, five hands on attempts
Technique 2 - Drift Donut: Learn how to control the drift by utilising steering input and throttle control, five minutes of hands,on experience
Technique 3 - Figure 8 Drift: Learn how to shift direction mid drift by utilising weight transfer, five minutes of hands on experience
Technique 4 - Drift Entry: Combine techniques to form a full flowing drift, five hands on attempts
Technique 5 - Drift Link: Combine techniques to form a full flowing drift, shifting direction mid drift, five hands on attempts
Drift Battle Hot Laps: Ride with our professional competitive drifters where they battle side by side with each other over four laps, two in the 'lead lap' and another two in the 'chase lap'

Session Length

Please allow up to four hours in duration
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your experience
Available at 8.30am
Session start times may vary dependant on class size and weather

Guidelines

Minimum age is 16 years old
Participants under 18 years old require adults consent
Confidence with driving a manual car is necessary

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

You will be in a group of up to 20 other participants.

Spectators

Family and friends of participant's are more than welcome to spectate.

Weather

In extreme weather conditions the tour may be cancelled if safety is a concern, you will be contacted by the experience provider and rescheduled.

Dress Code

Please wear a long sleeved top, long pants and enclosed shoes. Jackets, jumpers, jeans and track pants are permitted to wear. Nylon clothing is not permitted. You are welcome to bring an approved helmet, otherwise the experience provider will supply one.

Unforgettable fast and furious experience

Enjoyed the initial drifting the car experience despite arriving late staff were able to guide me through it despite missing the 1st 15 minutes of briefing and was unaware that there was a filming video experience available so I paid for the experience in the end as well as some merchandise they did send a email saying it would take 7-10 days for the creation process on Saturday 15th March eagerly awaiting the video sometime today bring the 25th March, would like to do a return experience with more filming on the teaching aspect of the experience to which I'm unsure if they took videos I did log onto the Facebook page to collect 2-4 personal photos which was lovely :)

The drifting experience is mind blowing.

n amazing day. I was that excited I got there 2 hours early for my 101 class. I had the most amazing experience and the instructors were so professional and helped me from being a totally Amature to a pro drifter in no time. I enjoyed my experience so much I booked a masterclass that afternoon. I went back a month later for the masterclass and once again I was early. And thoroughly enjoyed it even more the team are amazing instructors and the admin staff are fantastic. My experience was to die for I can’t wait to go back again. I enjoyed it so much I am now looking at buying my own drift car. Cheers guys.

Disorganised, cliquey staff and paying to wait

Thank you but we won’t be repeating the experience. I was disappointed in the day. 1) I don’t know why it’s organised the way it is, why not just make it half an hour instead of all the waiting around? 2) amazing drivers don’t always make amazing teachers, that’s a skill in itself 3) most disappointingly your staff are unprofessional and very cliquey, it’s great that they clearly have a nice working relationship but that shouldn’t come at the exclusion of paying customers. You need to get someone from a hospital I background in to teach them how to make the customers feel special, unique and privileged. You’ve missed a great opportunity to add to the day of your customers here. It’s not about blowing the wind up their skirts, just an honest appreciation for their custom and an improvement of the experience. It should be fun after all. If more effort was made to create an experience, even during the waiting time, then the ‘whole day’experience would be justified, but currently it’s like waiting in a lunch line for your turn! This waiting time is pivotal to the experience and you’re wasting the opportunity. 4) the organiser on the day wasn’t effectively doing the job, if it was to ensure that all people had a turn in each car, I didn’t. A basic level of comradery would be appreciated here too. Overall, you’ve missed the fun, and experience boat. The actual driving is great, if you can’t deliver on the rest, I think you should consider shortening the experience so it’s less monopolising of a customers time, and then by impact alone it would be more of an experience.

I flew in from Queensland for this experience bought for me as a birthday gift, so a fair amount of effort was made to get to this day. It was worth every ounce of effort. What a fantastic day! Well organised, lots of great cars, great instructors, not too much waiting between you turns in the car, helpful staff, very professional yet friendly. All round a fantastic experience and would definitely do it again!

Awesome day skidding around and learning the skills. Well worth paying the extra on the day for the 10 mins of one on one to practice what you learnt.
