An exciting underwater adventure awaits you at AQWA the Aquarium of Western Australia! Qualified SCUBA divers aged 14+ can get up close and personal with various species of native sharks, turtles, the worldâ€™s largest stingrays and schools of WAâ€™s most prized and precious fish on this guided dive experience.

Spend the rest of the day discovering the awesome 40+ marine exhibits on offer, including one of the world's largest living coral reef exhibits. This is the ultimate gift for the adrenaline junkie or animal lover in your life!

Please note participants must be a qualified SCUBA diver to participate in this experience. Not a diver? Try the Snorkel with Sharks instead.

Important information

Session Length

Please allow approximately two hours for this experience including both the briefing and dive
The dive is 30-45 minutes in duration
It is recommended you arrive 20 minutes prior to your booking time

The Aquarium of Western Australia is open as follows: (excluding Christmas Day).

December - January: 9am-5pm daily
February: 9am - 4pm Mon to Fri, 9am-5pm Sat to Sun
March to November
Monday to Sunday: 9AM - 4PM

Restrictions

Must be qualified SCUBA diver Must be aged 14+ Not suitable for people with epilepsy, heart conditions or asthma Not suitable for women who are pregnant

Guidelines

Participants must be a qualified SCUBA diver with minimum Open Water certification
Must show their valid dive ticket with photo before participating
Must be aged 14 years or above to participate
Participants must be in good health
Participants are required to sign a waiver
It is recommended you arrive 20 minutes prior to your booking time
It is recommended you have SCUBA dived in the last 12 months (confidence with SCUBA equipment is essential)

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Maximum of 4 participants per session.

Spectators

AQWA general admission charges apply to all spectators, and grants them all-day entry to the aquarium. Spectators can view participants during their Dive/Snorkel experience through the Shipwreck Coast underwater tunnel, which provides ample photo opportunities.

Dress Code

Participants must bring bathers and a towel.

Please note participants must have current dive qualification for this experience.

Location

This experience is located in Hillarys Boat Harbour, just 20 minutes north of Perth City.

Can’t do it without a dive ticket obviously but was the most amazing experience because the fish have no predators in that tank, they aren’t scared of you at all like normally in the ocean so they can right up to you and swim right in front of your mask which is amazing. Was the coolest experience I’ve had in a long time

This was a Christmas present for my husband. He was so excited. The booking process was super easy. Communication from the Aquarian was excellent. The whole experience was amazing for both my husband and myself as a spectator. Definitely will purchase more experiences for my adrenaline junky husband

A wonderful experience which I shared with my wife and daughter. Cool to be up so close to sharks and of course such big rays and turtles. The staff were great and we enjoyed our day at aqwa it’s a great venue.

What a waste of money. On the the website it didn’t say that need a diving Licence for this. I have call Redballooon and won’t do any things for it. This what a scam I will never used this website and not recommend this website to anyone. What a waste of $195. YOU PEOPLE SHOULD PUT ON THR HEADING THAT NEED A LICENSE TO DO THIS how people going to know if not highlighted before people going to buy a tickets. WHAT A SCAM.................

Right from the moment I arrived it was great. The staff there are sensational and make for a great experience. In the tank blew my mind in with all the fish and swimming with the sharks was mind blowing. One of the best experiences of my life

The entire team, from reception to dive crew were totally professional and made every aspect of getting to dive in the aquarium fun and stress-free. The dive was a great experience, led by my Divemaster who instilled confidence and a sense of fun. I would highly recommend the experience to both novice and experienced divers. Thank you all at AQWA.
