Thrilling voices, lavish sets and costumes, moving stories, great tunes - opera has it all!
La bohème: Glitzy sets, big emotions and stirring music fill the stage in this romantic classic. This glittering production, set in the bohemian streets of 1930s Berlin, exposes your soul to the feelings that only music can express.
Cavalleria Rusticana/Pagliacci: A double dose of desperation and drama in two short tragedies. The result is pure catharsis: everyday tragedy writ large on stage.
King Roger: A powerful tale where paganism and sensuality battle religion and restraint. Szymanowski’s intoxicating, iridescent music is rarely heard on the opera stage, so don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear a 20th-century masterpiece.
La Traviata: Velvet dresses, lavish parties, rousing music and crowded sets, combined with romance and tragic endings. The world’s most popular opera puts a life we couldn’t possibly dream of on stage, combined with Verdi’s flying melodies and passionate duets between breaking hearts.
Tosca: A thrilling story of love, lust and betrayal unfolds at breakneck pace in this war drama, as director John Bell (Bell Shakespeare) seeks to recapture the everyday banality of evil, during World War II.
