Visit the DiGiorgio Family Wines and join a guided winery tour and private tasting with the winemakers. Begin the experience in the cellar door before touring the property to learn about the famous Coonawarra Terra Rossa soil and its ideal climate for winemaking. Take photos in the soil pit, view the cork trees and discover how cork is harvested. Next, you'll get up close to the 100 year old vines with plenty of photo opportunities along the way. Moving onto the winery, learn how the magic happens to transform delicious mashed grapes into full bodied wines from crushing to fermentation. Finish with a guided tasting in the private tasting area featuring barrel samples and aged wine in the original barrel hall with a shared local produce platter followed by individual serves of handmade Italian meatballs with crusty bread.

The duration of this experience 90 minutes and operates on Fridays at 1pm.

Participants must be at least 18 years to take part in wine tasting. Block out dates apply during the Christmas and New Year public holidays.

Much more than a wine tasting experience.

It didn't matter that we knew very little and Brian, the winemaker, had nearly 40yrs experience. He knew how to look after us. Consummate host, Anna, plied us with food and wine until we reached our limit. Such a good experience.
