Whisky tour, excellent

My son and I attended Chief's Son Distillery on Saturday 6th June and had a wonderful time. The welcome and story was enlightening but not heavy. The tastings were excellent as was the tour. Comfortable and relaxed.

Very good experience. We were given a history lesson on the beginning of the distillery and where they are today. We had 4 tastings of the different flavours of there whiskey and the best way to appreciate the aroma. We went down stairs to where the still is and using a whiskey thief I was able to get a sample (100ml) of the whiskey straight from the barrel.

I brought this as a birthday gift for my husband. We had a long drive to drop him off and it was well worth it! My husband and his friend loved the experience and the very nice take home bottle. They got 10% off purchases afterwards and treated themselves to their favourite bottles from the tasting. They enjoyed their tour and pouring their own take home bottles.
