It was such an amazing experience that I would thoroughly recommend. Solo was a beautiful boy who purred very loudly! His keepers were lovely young people and were very informative. It is a wonderful zoo to visit.

We had a fantastic time to meet Solo, the Cheetah, at the Canberra Zoo. He is a very special 'cat', unbelievable how he loves his massages given by the zookeeper. He was lying down on her knee, closed his eyes, indulged himself and purred so load. That was the moment when we were able to massage his back with our hands. Lots of pictures were taken. A moment to remember. A massive thank you to the three keepeers looking after Solo and us.

We had a fantastic experience with Solo and his two lovely caretakers. After he settled down for a bit, we were invited to carefully pet him along his back. He was purring the whole time. It was wonderful to be so close to such a beautiful animal.

The experience of meeting the Cheetah was a birthday gift not something I would buy myself. Having said that, after my nerves calmed down it was somewhat enjoyable. I dont wish to put people off its just me feeling very nervous. The attendants were very informative. I would have liked to been able to do this in the morning but there was no option. My reason for this as I would have liked to see the rest of the animals a little more active and I believe that the best time is earlier in the day. As my appointed time was 2.30 pm it was after 3.00pm before I was able to wander around the Zoo and most animals were out of sight or sleeping. When I made the booking the paper work informed me to be there half an hour before allotted time, when I arrived to check in at main entrance I was told to be at the meeting place 15 mins before allotted time. Being at the other end of the Zoo I then had to return to my car and to another entrance. Arriving at the Cheetah meeting area it was after my allotted time that the attendants arrived, som confused then as another had arrived for the same time. Really need to sort this out

      Really peaceful and informative

The staff, were really nice. They answered all questions and made the whole process very memorable. I didn’t know that they use these experiences to raise money to help protect cheetahs. It was an incredible presentation to get to be able to touch this beautiful creature, and know that by doing so you help others. Experiences and memories of them can be some of the best gifts you get.

Even the cold, windy weather wasn't enough to dampen our spirits. Being in the enclosure with Solo was nothing short of unforgettable and the staff, absolutely amazing.

Talking to the zoo keepers and meeting Solo the cheetah was amazing, I don't think I've ever been so close to a wild animal. We got some amazing photos and definitely want to go back to learn more about animals and support conservation efforts.
