Cheetahs are the fastest land animal in the world, running up to 110km an hour, and in the wild they are found only in Africa. Canberra's National Zoo and Aquarium offers one of the most amazing animal experiences in Australia - the opportunity to have hands-on contact with one of these majestic big cats. During your cheetah encounter, you will be in the same enclosure as an unrestrained fully grown adult cheetah. An experienced zookeeper will be with you to answer your questions and guide you as you pat and play with this incredible animal. Spend the rest of the day exploring the park, coming face to face with native Aussie icons and exotic creatures. There's also a cafe, bistro, several picnic areas and complimentary BBQ facilities for your convenience.
