Step into a natural paradise as you spend the day exploring the Daintree Rainforest. Visit Mossman Gorge and participate in a Welcome to Country Ceremony, embark on a rainforest walk and cruise down the Daintree River, keeping an eye out for native wildlife. A blend of nature, culture and adventure.
A place where two natural World Heritage-listed sites exist side-by-side; the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. The Daintree Rainforest is truly wonder-filled and unreal to explore. Your adventure begins with a scenic coastal drive from Cairns to Port Douglas, where you'll be rewarded with sweeping panoramas of the Coral Sea. The first stop of the day is Mossman Gorge, home to crystal clear waters, large granite boulders and lush green rainforest.
You will participate in a Welcome to Country and Smoke Ceremony with the traditional owners, the Kuku Yalanji people. Feel free to go for a refreshing dip in the clear cascading waters and explore this ancient rainforest environment on an interesting, guided tour of Mossman Gorge. Our highly trained guides will give expert rainforest interpretation, which will inform and impress. Next, continue through the Daintree Rainforest, taking in the incredible scenery. You will embark on the Daintree River Cruise, make sure to keep an eye out for crocodiles and other native wildlife. You will then enjoy a delicious lunch. It is then time to head to the Daintree Ice Cream Co. to try some locally made delicious ice cream flavours (Available at additional cost). Then it is time to sit back and enjoy the journey back to Cairns.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. No charge applies for children under 2 years old. They must be seated on the parents lap during the bus transfer and no meal is provided.
Pack your swimwear, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a towel. Please wear suitable shoes and bring along a long sleeve/jumper as it can get cooler in the rainforest.
Feel free to pack a small day bag with insect repellent, a camera to snap some pics along the way, your towel and spare change of clothes and additional money for drinks and snacks.
