Discover magnificent rainforest, beautiful beaches and an abundance of wildlife on this overnight hike. Departing from the Sunshine Coast, you will drive to Rainbow Beach and hike through the lush forest of the Great Sandy National Park to Freshwater Campground where you'll set up camp for the night.
This two day adventure begins at the Sunshine Coast with a welcome talk and run through the itinerary before being transported to the start point of the hike at Rainbow Beach. Carrying all you need for one night in the beautiful Australian bush, you’ll hike through spectacular rainforest, past lakes and plentiful wildlife as you journey to Freshwater Campground. Here you will eat, sleep, play and explore for almost 24 hours before heading back to civilisation. If you want overnight hiking with experienced guides or if you're considering going alone one day, this trip is for you!
Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to their policy.
Maximum number of participants is six.
In the event of inclement weather the provider may choose to reschedule the tour. In this case you will be contacted and offered to book in at a later date. Any additional costs such as accommodation or travel that you have booked in advance will not be compensated.
Hiking shoes/boots (already worn in), light pants, long sleeved breathable shirts and a hat is recommended. Depending on the season, you may need thermals, a fleece jumper and beanie.
