Session Length

Please allow 30 minutes for this experience
Flight experience is a 18-20 minute flight from the moment the key is turned on.
Please note this experience is not operated by Archerfield Airport.

Flight durations are accurate within a couple of minutes and reflect the approximate time spent in the air. Please note that variations may occur due to air traffic or operational requirements.

Experience time includes your safety briefing, time for photos, aircraft start-up, and shut-down procedures. This means your total experience may be longer than just the airborne portion.

Restrictions

Everything must remain within the helicopter frame. Recommend wrist or neck-straps for camera/video equipment. Nothing is to be dropped from the helicopter.

Guidelines

Due to aircraft limitations, the seat weight for a passenger must not exceed 135kg; all flights will be subject to approval for the balance configuration of the aircraft.
Minimum age is 10 years
No persons with heart conditions or other serious ailments
Not suitable for pregnant women

Cancellation

All cancellations must be in writing and addressed to V2 Helicopters. There are no cancellations available for flights that have been postponed or rebooked from a postponed flight. The following fees will be payable by the Client for Flights cancelled by the Client depending on notice given to V2 helicopters:

Less than 21 business working days prior to departure – 25% of full Price
Less than 14 business working days prior to departure – 50% of full Price
Less than 7 business working days prior to departure – 100% of full Price

Weather

Occasionally, Mother Nature doesn’t play nice. To keep our customers safe and comfortable, we may have to cancel some flights from time to time. While we strive to provide as much notice as possible, weather conditions can be unpredictable and are often only confirmed closer to the flight date.

Dress Code

Comfortable casual clothing with enclosed shoes. Cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen recommended. Ensure no loose-fitting articles are worn or carried. You may also want to tie long hair back.

Other Info

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time. No shows or arriving late, after departure time will see customers forfeit their tickets with no refund or re-book.

A breathtaking view from above

The doors of helicopter experience was fantastic — an incredible way to see Brisbane city from above. Even though there were no doors, the ride felt so smooth and safe, and it meant we had stunning clear views. We managed to fly between some serious clouds gathering — we were lucky to be able to do it that day! V2 postponed us slightly on the day so we could go up at a clearer time. Tim, our pilot, was friendly and clear in his safety instructions. Would love to do it all over again!

Thoroughly enjoyed our Brisbane City Doors Off Heli Flight ride! It was smooth and just like sitting in a car, but with amazing views! Having the doors off allowed me to capture some fantastic photos and to be in the fresh air was breathtaking. Great experience that I highly recommend and would do over and over again.

Very casual but professional at the same time. Friendly pilot, answered any questions about the helicopter and flying. He took us through the controls of the heli on the ground and gave a safety brief.
