This thrilling flight experience allows multiple takeoffs and landings from two different airports of your choice. Experience the thrill of a difficult approach, adverse weather and learn the basics of autopilot. Then add them together and fly into a challenging airport at night in a thunderstorm!

What's included?

60 minute flight simulator experience
15 minute pre-briefing

After a briefing on how to fly a Boeing 737, you'll be strapped into the captain's seat, feet planted on the rudder pedals, your left hand steady on the control column. Listen out for permission from Air Traffic Control! You'll take your massive plane down the runway reaching top speed, climb to 2000ft then take that huge 45 degree turn planes do at height. Given a second, you can look out at the stunning scenery when you start flying. From here you manage speeds and altitude while being aware of other aeroplanes using amazingly realistic screens.

These same simulators are used to train commercial pilots. Surrounding screens and cockpit environment let you become totally immersed in the environment. Realistic sound and cooling systems and even a vibrating seat create an ultra-realistic experience.

It was an awesome hands on simulated flight experience and as close to the real sensation of taking off, flying and landing. My very experienced "co-pilot", Peter, provided me with a brief pre-flight tutorial, followed by a clear walkthrough and aircraft instructions.

The 60 minute activity was in a flight simulator used by learner pilots in obtaining their licence. The instructor was very professional, had years of flight experience and very calming when providing instructions even though I landed half on the grass and the other half on the tarmac. My wife and daughter were able to join me in the cockpit. I have no aviation experience only an enthusiast but this experience gave us all a greater appreciation of the work pilots do on a day-to-day basis.

I wasn't sure before I went whether this was going to be like playing a computer game. It wasn't! Sitting in the cockpit it is completely absorbing and having the opportunity to make four take-offs and four landings meant that there was plenty of opprtunity to really understand the controls, instruments and how to fly the plane properly. I would love to do it again.
