★★★★★ ★★★★★ BBQ School didn't provide service Luis 6 February 2026 I bought a voucher for 2 people to attend BBQ and beer class trough RedBallon and we we directed to their provider BBQ School in Melbourne.We booked the class for a Saturday in Oct 2025 which was cancelled by BBQ School so we booked the class for another dsy later in Nov 2025 which couldn't attend die to medical emergency. I did inform BBQ School about thr emergency before the schedulled class and did provide the relevant medical certificates and we were told thst we are not entitled for a refund or to reschedule the class for another day, so dimply we have just lost our money and experience due to thrir policies which seem ti be working at their favour so it was nothing wrong for them cancelling our first session but definetely against costumers like us each for a genuine reason couldn't attend. ★★★★★ ★★★★★ A fun event and we learned a few cooking tricks Graham 19 January 2020 I got this experience for my wife for a Christmas present as we both wanted to get a better understanding on how to cook seafood on the BBQ. We were shown how to prep and cook prawns, whole snapper, squid and salmon and best of all were then able to eat it all! Some nice beers tasted as well The afternoon was great and our hosts, Shane and Nick made it a very amusing event.
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Terrible! Didn't even get the main course! Annie 11 November 2019 We were extremely disappointed by this class and wish we had used our Red Balloon voucher on another product. The "experienced" chef had obviously never taken this class before and was so ill prepared/ disorganised it was beyond a joke. The product description for the course states we will "learn tips on timing and skills to enhance the presentation", which is ironic as we were not even served the main course of snapper. We left after 3hrs having eaten 1 prawn, 1 slice of calamari with a few lettuces leaves, and 1 soggy (not crispy skinned) slice of salmon with one wilted green each. The class lacked any tips on actually cooking on BBQ and there was very little participation.
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Seafood BBQ cooking class John 10 November 2019 The class was scheduled for 3hours from 1130am. At 230pm. the two fish dishes had only just started to be cooked on the BBQ. In fact, one was taken from the BBQ and placed in an oven in a kitchen. The whole lesson seemed to concentrate on marinades. No time was spent on explaining the various techniques for actually cooking fish, which was my main reason for enrolling in the class. Very disappointed!

I understand some "theory" is required but this is meant to be a fun experience. A little less talking and more cooking would of made this experience that much better.
