Due to a medical condition we chose non alcoholic drinks (another drink/coffee to make up $$ difference would have been good customer service) Food: plenty of small servings, many were similar, many lacked flavour/pork belly was horribly tough - none were served hot enough, one lot of dumplings was cold. (There were 8 patrons so not busy) Dessert Tray looked lovely, crème brûlée was like shop bought pouring custard with sugar burnt on top 🤷♀️ - (no traditional Chinese desserts …..1 macaron between two?) - Overall ok, went home feeling disappointed in value for money & it was a gift. We would not do this again. My husband and I visited Sun Wah resturant for a date night away from the kiddies. We had an amazing dining experience. We are both not fussy eaters - so we’re happy with the set menu and happy to try all the food served. We enjoy trying new things and food. We were offered an upgrade upon arrival for the extended menu for an additional $10 pp, and we chose this option. There wasn’t one dish we did not enjoy - I personally liked the chilli dumplings and the prawn & ginger dumplings. We enjoyed cocktails and the house beer with our meal. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Their regular menu had extensive options and we plan to visit Sun Wah again to try some of the other meals they have to offer. I would not recommend this dining experience if you are fussy with food or have serve allergies/dietary requirements. I feel this experience may not be able to cater to your needs if that is the case. Overall great little restaurant.
