Learn how to loop and roll an aerobatic training aircraft under the expert guidance of an instructor. No prior flying experience is necessary and you get to control the action! There is a full safety briefing prior to the flight so you are in safe hands with your experienced instructor.

What's included?

Have you ever seen an aerobatic display at an airshow and thought WOW! 'I wonder if I can do that?' Well now you can! With no obligation to continue further training, you can experience the magic of pure three-dimensional aerobatic flight under the guidance and safety of one of the highly-trained and qualified instructors. After your orientation and safety briefing you will strap into the aircraft and taxi for takeoff.

During the flight, not only will you learn to turn, climb and descend, you will learn how to LOOP and ROLL!

Depending upon the weather conditions, you may be able to fly the aircraft all the way from take-off to landing. On the way back to base you will have the opportunity to see what the Robin 2160i aerobatic trainer is really capable of, with your instructor demonstrating the aerobatic capability of the Robin with speeds up to 325km/h and G forces up to +6G’s! No prior flying experience is necessary, you will learn everything on the day.

In-flight video of the experience is available for separate purchase on the day of the flight and is provided on a personalised USB so you can show your friends and family your magnificent airborne achievements!

Important information

Session Length

Available all year, with the exception of some public holidays. Approx 45 minute flight - please allow 1 hour for the entire experience.

Guidelines

Participants must be able and in good health
Participants must disclose any known medical conditions which may affect the safety of the flight
Participants must be over 18 years of age, or be between 12 and 18 years of age and have explicit parental consent to participate
Participants must understand spoken English
Due to aircraft weight limitations, a participant weight limit of 95 kg applies
Participants must not be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol
Advance bookings are essential

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Weather

The experience provider will make every attempt to fly on a participant’s booked date & time, however reserves the right to reschedule flights without penalty due to unsuitable weather conditions or other reasons beyond the operators control.

Dress Code

Loose, comfortable clothing is recommended.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! I am so thankful to Peter and his staff for an experience I will NEVER forget. My family and I were given a tour of the hanger as soon as we arrived and we were all made to feel extremely welcomed. I was given a redballoon voucher as a 16th Birthday present, I was a little nervous as this was my first time in the air flying. Peter made me feel so incredibly comfortable and confident to complete a few climbs, dives, loops & rolls in the Robin 2160i. I highly recommend Australian Aerobatic Academy and cant wait to do my next flight.

The experience was very well organized, Danielle (hope I got her name right) was a great instructor and guided me throughout the whole experience in a very expert manner. The whole flight is so much fun and the aerobatic manouvers are an amazing rush of adrenaline and super safe and controlled at the same time. If you’re worried this experience might be too risky, think again. They know exactly what they’re doing and how to do it safely. Highly recommended!

Had a great time getting up in the sky and learning how to fly with Peter and the crew. Very professional and had a great time from start to finish. That feeling you get when you're in control looping and rolling is truly unbelievable and you feel your head still in the clouds even after you touch down. Sitting back and watching Peter finish off with some jaw dropping aerobatics before heading back to land was a great end to the session and would recommend to anyone 10/10.

This is the best flying experience I have ever had. They have very friendly and professional crew. It all builds up from the flight briefing and you are really hands on loops and rolls. After that is up to you, I got some fantastic manoeuvres pulled up by the pilot.

Despite what seemed to be a pretty relaxed atmosphere, the pre-flight briefing and the instruction during the flight was excellent. Did everything as advertised and an extra maneuver before heading back to base. Word of warning, if you get motionsick at all, this will test your stomach to the limit.
