Your mission is to take off from the Hunter Valley and conduct a tactical reconnaissance mission of the Newcastle or the Nelson Bay area. The experience begins with a military-style flight briefing before taking off for a 30-35 minute adventure. Thrill seekers can even request some aerobatic moves!

Experience the thrill of a lifetime in a ex-military warbird fighter trainer! After a military-style flight briefing building up the anticipation, you'll strap in tight for a tactical reconnaissance mission of the Newcastle or Nelson Bay area. You'll stay below radar coverage for most of the flight to soak up the incredible views. And if you live locally, the pilot will make sure that get to see your home from above! If you're still hungry for more, you can choose to enjoy some aerobatics manoeuvres on the way back!

Note this experience is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday only.

Important information

Session Length

Allow 1 hour for the entire experience, this includes 30-35 minutes in the air
Available Friday, Saturday and Sunday ONLY

Guidelines

Minimum age is 10 years
Maximum weight is 125kg
Due to the nature of the experience people with pacemakers are not able to participate

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

You will be one on one with your instructor

Weather

In the event of poor weather your experience will be rescheduled for another day.

Dress Code

Enclosed soft sole shoes.

Please take note that BY LAW we must inform you that military aircraft are built and tested to different standards than that put forward by the Civil Aviation Safety Administration (CASA) or any equivalent international civil aviation governing body. As such, in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Parts 132.140, 150 and 132.155. The design, manufacture and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet the same standard recognised by CASA. The passenger agrees to participate in this flight at his or her own risk. A more detailed briefing will be provided to the passenger before they board the aircraft.

Not for the Faint Hearted

I arrived about 30 mins before the flight, so we did the briefing and in no time we were taxiing down the runway. The pilot tells you in advance about the manoeuvre before he performs it and with some of the moves, you can really feel the G Force working on your body. Towards the end of the session, I was starting to feel a little woozy. A terrific experience. And very well organised.

Championship winning pilot Glenn ensured I had a very memorable and thrilling experience over the Hunter Valley. The fly over the seaside landscape was breathtaking. I lived for the acrobatics, the twists and turns and tricks. It was an experience to remember and an incredible way to mark my 40th. So grateful to Glenn and his trusty hands and eyes, he is knowledgeable of the area and very experienced in the air (the running commentary was hilarious). Loved every minute, and worth getting the video after too.
