Complimentary regular coffee or tea

Begin with a complimentary coffee or tea and explore different features of your editing software. Over the next three hours you'll be creating a 'travel story' using photos taken with your smart phone. Learn tips and tricks from a professional photographer and be amazed with what you shoot just using your mobile's camera.

You’ll be given a set of fun challenges that aim to get you to creatively interpret your surroundings. Walk to some amazing vantage points and capture shot in the best light. Test out your new skills and then enhance your photos with editing software. And don’t worry, you won’t forget any of the advice on the day because you get ‘take-home’ notes. Happy snapping!

Restrictions

Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by a paying adult. The experience provider can’t look after minors and have no duty of care.

Guidelines

MUST BRING YOUR OWN SMARTPHONE
A moderate level of fitness is required to walk and climb some steps
Wheelchair access is limited. Please advise the experience provider beforehand if you have any special requirements

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Group size is 2-10 people. If minimum numbers aren't reached, you will be emailed three days before to request to postpone to another suitable date.

Weather

In the case of inclement weather, class meeting point may be rescheduled and participants will be notified.

Really worthwhile photography tips

I did this course today and it was marvelous. We were shown several settings on our smartphones that would help us take better photos. Who knew? We were taken to four different locations on North Terrace and were taught several things at each stop. We were then given a challenge to take that kind of photo using the tips we had learned. After we selected our favourite photo we were then shown how we could edit our photo well. This happened at each of the four stops. I strongly recommend this course, our tutor was encouraging and really knew his stuff, and I know I will take better photos because of this class. Thank you.
