Enjoy sparkling wine and canapés whilst surrounded by ancient rainforest… Be beckoned further and experience a magnificent, seven dish, tropical banquet accompanied by Australian wines and beer. This evening features two local Aboriginal brothers sharing their remarkable culture with you during the evening, featuring a cultural background, story telling, didgeridoo playing and song. The rainforest is the natural, authentic backdrop for this spiritual and mystical culture, a performance unique to this region, where you will learn about the timeless oral traditions spanning back over 40,000 years.

Sample Menu Entrée

  • Trio of dips - roasted eggplant with red pepper, feta & fresh herbs, basil pesto with freshly baked bread


  • Fresh local Tiger prawns served with a crisp vegetable & sprout salad and a chilli & lime dressing
  • Lemon myrtle infused kangaroo loin on a bed of wild rocket & toasted macadamia nuts
  • Pan fried reef fish with seasonal greens and coconut and kafir lime broth
  • Jungle spiced chicken breast with date and fire roasted red pepper cous cous and mint and bush lime yoghurt
  • Black Angus sirloin on a kipfler potato & green bean salad with confit cherry tomatoes and a red wine jus

  • Traditional pavlova with tropical fruits and vanilla bean chantilly

Session Length

  • This experience begins at 7.30pm and finishes at 10.30pm
  • Pick up times will be advised by the provider
  • Available every Tuesday and Thursday except 25 and 26 December, and 1 January

Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:


  • Over 2 weeks prior to the experience date: No charge
  • 48 hours to up to 2 weeks prior to the experience date: $50 per person participant fee to change the experience date and time
  • Within 48 hours of the experience date, No Shows and Late Arrivals: Participants forfeit their experience and therefore are not entitled to a refund or to re-book. Participants are advised to make their own insurance provisions in case of unforeseen circumstances

Numbers on the Day

This experience is for one person however there may be up to 60 guests at the dinner. Rectangular tables of ten are always set so guests join other travellers over dinner.


The evening is conducted undercover. In the event of adverse weather the supplier may have to alter the running times and venues. The evening will remain as close to the promoted event as possible without compromising guests' comfort and safety.

Dress Code

Bring along a jacket in cooler months, flat comfortable shoes, an umbrella (it is sheltered in case of rain but you may need it for the walk), your imagination and insect repellent.

This experience takes place in Port Douglas, Tropical North QLD. All guests are collected from their hotel in Port Douglas or Thala beach by coach and returned at the end of the event.
