Be prepared for an idyllic afternoon of fine wine, food and the arts at the fabulous Leeuwin Estate. Your experience will begin with morning tea inclusive of coffee/tea and cake.

Your host will escort you by introducing the history and winemaking philosophy of Leeuwin Estate. After visiting the Art Gallery to view the unique collection of contemporary Australian artworks that feature on the labels of Leeuwin's premium 'Art Series' range of wines, the tour concludes with a tutored tasting of selected Leeuwin Estate wines. After a healthy appetite has been worked up, tuck into a sumptuous seven course tasting menu accompanied by carefully matched Estate wines. This experience is tailored to 'wow' even the most experienced diner.

From the first moment we arrived to the end we received five star treatment. The food and service was incredible impossible to pick a favourite course.

5 star Wine & Food but 3 star surrounds

Whilst nothing can down grade the quality wine and food experience at this great winery, the major renovations tainted the atmosphere and even drowned out the Kookaburras! We were told the art gallery was being renovated but were very surprised at the extent of the major renovations being done to the restaurant and entire ground floor. Whilst the staff soldiered on there was no escaping the construction site outside. In lieu of the art gallery tour we were promised a unique vineyards tour. However what we got was a short standard tour, with another 6 visitors of the wine making, barrel room and bottling plant. Hardly unique, and not a vine to be seen. My suggestion is wait until the renovations are complete in October before you do anything other than come for lunch or a tasting. To Leeuwin, you needed to be more up front about the extent of the renovations and either discount the tour, or better still, give everyone a bottle of your Prelude range wine to say "thanks for coming during the renovations". Unfortunately our tour was very good but in no way unique or Ultimate. We look forward to coming back for lunch next year.

Wine tour and degustation outstanding

Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly leeuwin estate team and enjoyed scones and orange and almond cake. As a gluten free person all dietary requirements were taken into account. We then enjoyed an interesting tour of the estate with our bubbly guide who shared some interesting facts about wine making and the estate, before taking in the outstanding art collection. Afterwards, we were seated at a table overlooking the estate grounds and were taken on a culinary journey of 7 courses with matching wines which tantilised the tastebuds! What an amazing day! Thoroughly recommend!
