If you're craving some quality 'you' time then the Ottessa off-grid cabin is calling your name. Hidden amongst the Macedon Ranges, the cabin is approximately one hour's drive from Melbourne. With nothing but 360 degree views of the rolling hills, long grass and open sky, Ottessa is the perfect escape to hit the reset button and pets are welcome to join you. The off-grid cabin comes complete with a Queen bed, ensuite bathroom featuring a hot shower and a kitchenette with all the creature comforts that you'll require for a cosy overnight stay. As night falls, take advantage of the open fire pit to roast some marshmallows or gaze at the stars while reveling in the serenity of the secluded location. A blissful overnight stay awaits.

Session Length

The duration of this experience is a two night stay
Check in from 3pm and check out by 11am

Minimum 3?night stay for the New Year’s Eve period. Mandatory check?in date is 30 December. The same requirement will also apply for the 2026 to 2027 holiday period. Additional fees or higher rates may apply during peak or special event periods, and these charges may be payable directly to Unyoked.

Restrictions

Guests of the Ottessa Cabin must be over the age of 18. You will receive an email with pre-arrival instructions upon booking the cabin. Additional house rules will also be provided in your field guide.

Guidelines

Guests must be over the age of 18
From December to April, the entire Macedon Ranges region usually enters a Fire Danger Period. No camp fires are permitted at your cabin during this time
The exact location of your cabin will provide upon booking
Cabins are located on rural and often undeveloped areas of land that are often not occupied by the Landowner all year round
Guest acknowledge that they are responsible for their own safety in and around the cabin and property
Additional house rules will be provided in your field guide
Midweek is Monday to Thursday
Subject to availability
Pets are welcome. There is a $40 pet fee which will be charged by Unyoked directly
All cabins have a minimum of 2-night stay on weekends.

Cancellation

For changes made at least 30 days prior to arrival there is no cancellation fee and guests can choose to either reschedule, receive a gift voucher for the full amount
For changes made 15-30 days prior to arrival, there is a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking amount (plus 5% processing fee).
For cancellations within 15 days prior to arrival there will be no refund, voucher or rebooking - partial or otherwise.
For early departures prior to your Departure Date, there will be no refund, voucher or rebooking - partial or otherwise

Weather

The cabin is a great place to be during the warmer and cooler months and even when it rains! During wet or poor weather, guests may be notified of a weather warning. In the event you are notified of a weather warning, there will be a place to park your vehicle/s in any alternative nominated wet weather zones.

This experience is located in the Macedon Ranges, VIC. Ottessa sits on the traditional land of the Wurundjeri People. It is approximately one hour drive from Melbourne. Please note there is a 250 metre hike to the cabin from the car park.

Very relaxing

Not happy with the flight path overhead and no mention of a very steep hill walking to and from the cabin
