If you're craving some quality 'you' time then the Aprilla off-grid cabin is calling your name. Hidden amongst the Wilderness, the cabin is approximately 3 hour's drive from Melbourne. With nothing but 360-degree views of the rolling hills, long grass and open sky, Aprilla is the perfect escape to hit the reset button. There is a 650m hike, (medium level difficulty) to access the cabin from where you park your car. Your little furry friend is also welcome to join you. The off-grid cabin comes complete with a Queen bed, ensuite bathroom featuring a hot shower and a kitchenette with all the creature comforts that you'll require for a cosy 2-night stay. As night falls, take advantage of the open fire pit to roast some marshmallows or gaze at the stars while revelling in the serenity of the secluded location. A tranquil escape to nature awaits.

The duration of this experience is a 2 night stay
Check in from 3pm and check out by 11am

Minimum 3?night stay for the New Year’s Eve period. Mandatory check?in date is 30 December. The same requirement will also apply for the 2026 to 2027 holiday period. Additional fees or higher rates may apply during peak or special event periods, and these charges may be payable directly to Unyoked.

Guidelines

Guests must be over the age of 18
From December to April, the entire Macedon Ranges region usually enters a Fire Danger Period. No camp fires are permitted at your cabin during this time
The exact location of your cabin will provide upon booking
Cabins are located on rural and often undeveloped areas of land that are often not occupied by the Landowner all year round
Guest acknowledge that they are responsible for their own safety in and around the cabin and property
Additional house rules will be provided in your field guide
Midweek is Monday to Thursday
Subject to availability
Pets are welcome. There is a $40 pet fee which will be charged by Unyoked directly
Please note: All cabins have a minimum of 2-night stay on weekends.
Guests acknowledge that cars are not permitted past the car park and that fines are in place for breaking the parking rules

Cancellation

For changes made at least 30 days prior to arrival there is no cancellation fee and guests can choose to either reschedule, receive a gift voucher for the full amount
For changes made 15-30 days prior to arrival, there is a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking amount (plus 5% processing fee).
For cancellations within 15 days prior to arrival there will be no refund, voucher or rebooking - partial or otherwise.
For early departures prior to your Departure Date, there will be no refund, voucher or rebooking - partial or otherwise

Weather

The cabin is a great place to be during the warmer and cooler months and even when it rains! During wet or poor weather, guests may be notified of a weather warning. In the event you are notified of a weather warning, there will be a place to park your vehicle/s in any alternative nominated wet weather zones.

Location

This experience is located in Johanna, VIC. Aprilla sits on the traditional land of the the Gulidjan and Gadubanud people. It is an approximately 3 hour drive from Melbourne. Please note there is a 650 metre hike to the cabin from the car park.

Wonderful time

My husband bought this for a Christmas gift and it was better than I could have imagined. Complete seclusion and relaxation at Aprilla, we were greeted by many kangaroos once we parked and started walking the trail to the cabin. The cabin is well equipped with everything you need for cooking and coffee/tea making. We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor fire places. Were lucky to spot some deer and a koala too. my only issue was that we only stayed 2 nights! would have loved to stay 3. Please be mindful, the walk is quite in an area steep so pack light if you have limited fitness.
