If your brain only starts making sense once you’re surrounded by trees, a two-night nature session at Arlo in Hallston is calling your name. Tucked away on a working farm, you’ll wander about 300 metres from your car through rolling country (yep, there’s a small hill, but it’s part of the fun) to reach your off-grid hideout. Once you’re there, it’s just you, the paddocks, a few friendly alpacas and sheep, and everything you need for a proper switch-off. There’s a crackling fire pit, a wood-fired hot tub for starlit soaks, and all the cosy cabin comforts you’ll want, and nothing you don’t. Bring your favourite person, a curious kid, or your four-legged mate and settle in for some quiet, country calm.

The duration of this experience is a two-night stay
Check in from 3 pm and check out by 11 am

Minimum 3?night stay for the New Year’s Eve period. Mandatory check?in date is 30 December. The same requirement will also apply for the 2026 to 2027 holiday period. Additional fees or higher rates may apply during peak or special event periods, and these charges may be payable directly to Unyoked.

Restrictions

Guests of the Arlo Cabin must be over the age of 18. You will receive an email with pre-arrival instructions upon booking the cabin. Additional house rules will also be provided in your field guide.

Guidelines

Guests must be over the age of 18
The exact location of your cabin will be provided upon booking
Cabins are located on rural and often undeveloped areas of land that are often not occupied by the Landowner all year round
Guests are responsible for their own safety in and around the cabin and property
Midweek is Monday to Thursday
Weekend is Friday to Sunday
Subject to availability
Pets are welcome. There is a $40 pet fee which will be charged by Unyoked directly
Please note: All cabins have a minimum of 2-night stay on weekends.

Cancellation

For changes made at least 30 days prior to arrival there is no cancellation fee and guests can choose to either reschedule, receive a gift voucher for the full amount
For changes made 15-29 days prior to arrival, there is a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking amount (plus 5% processing fee).
For cancellations within 15 days prior to arrival there will be no refund, voucher or rebooking - partial or otherwise.
For early departures prior to your Departure Date, there will be no refund, voucher or rebooking - partial or otherwise

Weather

The cabin is a great place to be during the warmer and cooler months and even when it rains! During wet or poor weather, guests may be notified of a weather warning. In the event you are notified of a weather warning, there will be a place to park your vehicle/s in any alternative nominated wet weather zones.

Location

This experience is located in Hallston, VIC. Arlo sits on the traditional land of the Bunurong and Gunaikurnai People. It is approximately two and a half hours' drive from Melbourne. Please note there is a 300-metre hike to the cabin from the car park.

Amazing off grid getaway!

This was probably one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed at. I got this voucher for my boyfriend’s birthday and we finally booked it. It’s so cute and small in a comforting way. We spent each night in the hot tub and during the days we chilled out and relax, relaxed and watched the sheep eating all around us. There was even two black alpacas or llamas around the area as well. Definitely worth it. There’s no microwave or anything using power though mainly just a stove and a kettle for the stove. Can’t really fault this at all. It was a much needed mini holiday, we absolutely loved it, i’m a Telstra and I didn’t have any service at all but my boyfriend is with Vodafone and he got decent service!
