Situated on the Northern Territory's Bremer Island, Banubanu Beach Retreat is an eco-friendly resort offering a coastal escape like no other. The retreat houses five private beachfront bungalows and an exclusive elevated penthouse, accommodating only 12 guests at a time. Your dreamy escape begins with a scenic flight from Gove Airport, affording you with aerial views of the island and the Arafura Sea. Upon touchdown, you'll be welcomed with a drink and grazing platter, accompanied by an oral history of East Arnhem Land. Then, head to your plush beachfront bungalow and set your clocks to island time.
You'll have two nights to soak up the bliss of solitude and follow an agenda as relaxing or adventure-filled as you wish. Watch the ebbs and flows of the sea from your beachfront sundeck, grab a kayak or snorkel and explore the crystal clear waters and enjoy all meals prepared by a quality chef. The resort also boasts an elevated restaurant, bar and pool overlooking the western bay. It's a unique slice of the NT waiting to be discovered.
