Experience Adelaide from a unique perspective aboard a comfortable donut-shaped bbq boat. Make your day as adventurous or private as you like, just skipper the boat to your favourite spot or ask the friendly staff for recommendations. After you've explored the beautiful waterway from Torrens Weir to Frome Road Bridge, have a break, chill and grill a barbecue lunch or simply enjoy some nibbles. Perfect for a family day out, catch up with friends or sightseeing expedition!

NOTE: Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks can be pre-ordered or purchased on the day - BYO is not allowed.

Important information

Session Length

This experience is two hours in duration
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled cruise time for check-in and safety briefing

Restrictions

Minimum age to hire and skipper the boat is 21 years.

Guidelines

No boat licence required - you can hire the buoy with your car licence (international licences accepted, if available in English and valid on the day of travel)
Children over the age of 12 months count as individual passengers
There must be one adult per three children
The skipper must not exceed the limit for alcohol consumption (the same as driving a car)
Passengers are welcome to bring their own food
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks can be pre-ordered or purchased on the day - BYO is not allowed
Swimming, fishing and feeding wildlife is prohibited

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This experience is valid for up to six people.

Weather

Hot days with temperatures of +38ºC are not necessarily dangerous for floating on the water but the experience may not be as pleasant. In this case, you are able to reschedule for a later date. Heavy rain, strong wind and/or thunderstorm may force the provider to reschedule the cruise. Weather related decisions are made the day before your booking date.

Dress Code

A hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and protective clothing are recommended. A giant umbrella is also on board for your use.

6 friends spent an awesome 2 hrs cruising the river Torrens. We had a great time , we laughed we ate we we had a few drinks and admire the city of Adelaide from a great spot Staff were wonderful and very helpful We had BBQ and it was easy to cook up our dinner Drinks we purchased could have done with some more ice but the lively lady visited us and provided some extras Highly recommend this activity for a great afternoon Would like to do an evening one next ! Thanks to all concerned GREAT DAY 🥂🌸😀

We had a wonderful experience on the water seeing things that you never take the time to see in your own city. We did it for a couple of birthdays. The only thing that let it down was -we were late getting on, wasn't overly clean, and we ran out of petrol right in front of the Popeye. but it all added to the experience

We hired the boat just for the two of us. Great staff, expalined everything clearly and how to operate boat. Nice city views and great for watching the world go by. We had good weather on the day, would go with picnic type foods (table option) rather than the BBQ next time, especially with only 2 people. Boat motor IMO a bit too noisy for anything above idle.
