Having recently celebrated two years as a RedBallooner, I took some time out to reflect on some of the experiences I've had, the places I've been and the people I've been lucky enough to meet along the way.
The things I've done
Let’s start with the experiences. On my second day, my manager sat me down and asked “How do you feel about skydiving?” – me, being a little excited but mostly scared, replied with “I’ve always wanted to”, not quite true but hoping she’ll forget about this conversation. Fast forward two weeks and I’m free falling from 14,000ft. Something I never thought I’d do but so glad to have had this experience – something I’ll never forget!
The places I've been
Living in Sydney I’m spoilt for choice when it comes to fun things to do in beautiful destinations, but we have a whole country with amazing destinations and awesome people – so in October 2016, RedBalloon partnered with multiple organisations to bring some deserving people together in some amazing destinations. RedBallon Week was born, and I got to be part of it. Some of my personal highlights from this week were snorkeling on the Great Garrier Reef where I spotted more than one palette surgeonfish (aka Dory), feeding giraffes while on safari at Werribee Open Range Zoo and sailing on an America’s Cup yacht on Sydney Harbour.
The people I've met
Whether we’re spending time working in the office coming up with our next campaign or casually breaking a Guinness World Record - we’re two for two btw ;) - I get to work with some of the best people you’ll ever meet. And on top of that, life at RedBalloon will give you the chance to be a part of helping people make lifelong memories. Just last month I had the chance to meet Christine, a RedBalloon customer who celebrated beating cancer for the second time by taking to the skies on a Top Gun Fighter flight.
In short, life at RedBalloon is pretty great.
Experiences I hope to do next
