The RedBalloon Teams' Spring Recommendations

Anna Johansson

Here is your glimpse into the team at RedBalloon and what experiences we like to get up to in our spare time. Ranging from culinary classes to scenic seaplane rides over Sydney Harbour we love to get out and about and try out all the amazing experiences. Whether you are seeking a bit of inspiration for Springtime experiences or searching for the perfect gift for a loved one, here are the team’s top recommendations.

From myself, a day out in the Whitsundays

My recommendation for this spring is a snorkelling experience in the Whitsundays. As the weather starts to warm up, it’s a great time to get back into the ocean. Throughout the day you will get to explore the beautiful Whitehaven Inlet and beach as well as snorkelling in the iconic Great Barrier Reef. It’s such a fun day out on the water and even better shared with friends.

From Karina, a stunning seaplane flight

My recommendation for this spring would be a seaplane over Sydney Harbour. There’s nothing better than seeing that spring sunshine over the ocean. Even better when you get to finish it all off with a glass of bubbly and seafood feast!

From Yeliz, a delicious Italian cooking class

My recommendation is an experience to unlock the essence of Italy this spring, with an unforgettable Italian cooking class. This delightful experience is the perfect opportunity to cherish precious moments with your loved ones while indulging in a fun and delicious activity. Get ready for an authentic journey into the heart of Italy, guaranteed to warm your heart and leave your taste buds feelings satisfied.

From Orlanda, a cosy cabin stay

My recommendation for Spring is this cozy Unyoked cabin completely tucked away from the hustle and bustle. As it’s still a bit colder in the morning and night, I’d cozy up and sleep in, brew a warm cup of coffee and read my favourite book or set some goals for my next chapter. During the day I’d wonder about the sunny lush greenery and tall trees, reconnecting with Mother Nature. Perfect for a solo escape or with your loved one.

From Matt, a scenic hike

Something that’s a bit of fun over Spring with the weather warming up is getting out in nature for a hike. Around Sydney, I couldn’t recommend the Blue Mountains more! Lots of beautiful Australian scenery, a mix of challenging and easier walks, and even the odd swimming spot if you’re keen for a brisk dip! Get your friends, partner or family and check out what the Australian outdoors has to offer.

From Georgia, a tastebud indulgence

I’m a little scared of heights so my spring recommendation is a comfortable sea-level experience – a 6 course meal with a bottle of wine overlooking Sydney Harbour. What it lacks in height, it makes up for in indulgence. There’s no better way to marvel at Sydney’s Harbour and the iconic Opera House than a sunset booking with my favourite human to compare tasting notes with.

From Juliette, a horse riding trail

After a few experiences in the past horse riding, I was excited to get back on the horse and recently went on a beautiful trail ride through the bush. It’s such a great afternoon activity to share with friends and enjoy the stunning scenery around you. Spring is the perfect time to get out and about and soak up the sunshine.
