One hour winery and vineyard tour including tastings
After your class, relax and enjoy a two course lunch.
Dessert wines at cellar door to finish

Enjoy an all-inclusive tour through this working winery in the heart of Swan Valley, sampling wines as you go. Sip, swirl and swallow wine samples directly from the tanks and barrels before they are bottled, just like the winemaker! Leave with a deep understanding of what it takes to grow grapes and product quality wine. After this hands-on educational experience, you'll be treated to a relaxed two-course lunch with sweeping views of the vineyard. To finish is a dessert wine tasting at the Cellar Door, where you can also purchase delicious locally-made produce such as honey, truffles and preserves.

Session Length

Available Thursday & Fridays by appointment (minimum 24 hours notice is required)
Start time is 10.30am
Please allow an hour for the tour and an hour for lunch (however there is no time limit for lunch)

Guidelines

Please advise if there are any dietary requirements at the time of booking. Gluten free and vegetarian options available
Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. Upper Reach is a fully operational winery and as such child supervision is essential
Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Persons under the age of 18 will not be served alcohol
Please advise wait staff if you are on a schedule and need to leave by a certain time
Transfer of vouchers to an alternative date will incur a $15 transfer fee per ticket. Transfer of bookings will only occur up to 48hours before the Winery Tour or Education Class is to take place.

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 14 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 14 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This tour runs with a minimum of two people and maximum of 12 people.

Weather

The experience provider reserves the right to cancel tours due to inclement weather or any unforeseen event or circumstances. In the event a tour is cancelled, clients will be rebooked onto an alternative tour date of their choice.

Dress Code

Sensible foot wear is recommended as there will be a bit of vineyard walking on an unpaved area.

We had such a lovely day. The winery tour was a very informative and interesting session. We learnt a lot from our guide Lauren who is just a delight. Our 2 course lunch was absolutely delicious and set in a warm and comfortable dining room overlooking the vineyard. All staff were polite and happy and it was a great way to spend a Friday!

Had a great day at Upper Reach Winery, the tour of the grounds and processing facility was very informative...and obviously we both enjoyed the wine tasting. Lauren was a great host and took the time to answer our layperson questions! Lunch was fantastic, highly recommend the crab risotto, and washed down with a glass of the Reserve Chardonnay. Overall a great morning in a picturesque setting.

well, we had a really good day out the tour was done very professionally explaining the different grapes then the crushing and bottling of the wine, we then sampled the fruits of all the labour for a great finish. we then proceeded to the restaurant for our two-course meal the food was amassing and what an outlook over the vines.

My husband and I were the only 2 customers for the tour on that wet, wintery day and we couldn't think of a nicer way to spend a couple of hours! We were given a detailed, interesting, knowledgable tour with the generous opportunity to try many samples of different wines. After that, we were treated to a delicious mediterranean plater for 2 , plus desserts, with an amazing view over the vineyard. We would highly recommend it to anyone. The whole red balloon experience was simple to use.

On arrival we were met by a smiling face and the tour around the vineyard and wine making area was informative and cheeky (it was just my husband and I on the tour on this particular day)...we tried wines we wouldn't have normally and found some new faves! Finished with an amazingly delicious lunch with more wine!
