We depart Launceston and enjoy a short stop at the Georgian township of Campbell Town for supplies and convict relics. From there we head east, greeted by a spectacular view of The Hazards as we enter Freycinet National Park. A short-but-sensational 20 minute walk along the Cape Tourville Lighthouse circuit reveals 360 degree views before we hike to the Wineglass Bay lookout as a group.

This 45 minute ascent gets the heart pumping before revealing one of the best vistas in the Southern Hemisphere. Gaze out over treetops to a sweeping vista of white sand and turquoise water, soaking in the beauty of Wineglass Bay. Depending on how active you’re feeling, you can extend your hike down to the beach for swimming, relaxing and dolphin spotting or return from the lookout with your guide to check out Honeymoon Bay, Sleepy Bay and Cape Tourville Lighthouse.

The afternoon brings us to Devil’s Corner winery, perched high on a hill overlooking Freycinet. It’s the ideal place to kick back with a glass of wine, fresh seafood platter, woodfired pizza, tea, coffee or artisan gelato at the end of an action-packed day!

Departs Launceston at 7:30am and returning into Launceston around 6.00pm
Departs every Tuesday and Thursday
Experience does not operate on weekends or public holidays

Minimum age for the tour is 8 years old
This is a fast paced, active day tour. There is no maximum age, however, good physical health and mobility is important.

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Weather

All tour participants will be participating in outdoor, active activities and therefore subject to the outdoor weather conditions of the day.

* A day backpack * Closed, sturdy shoes for walking (runners, sneakers, hiking boots) * Large water bottle, snacks, lunch (or buy it on the day) * Sensible clothes for outdoor conditions (warm layers are a great idea!) * Waterproof jacket, just in case. * Sunhat and beanie * Camera

Other Info

Exclusions : No Food, snacks and drinks - you will have an opportunity to stop enroute to the National Park to purchase lunch/snacks to take along with you for your tour day. This stop is in a regional town at a local Bakery. The selection includes sandwiches, rolls, wraps etc. If you have special dietary requirements or prefer other choices, you may wish to come prepared with your own food of choice. Lunch will be in a picnic area at Freycinet National Park No airport drop offs No luggage on board, only your day pack for the day

First class service from Red balloon, unfortunately myself, partner and 6 other passengers felt very uncomfortable with the way the tour guide dangerously drove at one point he was told to slow down by passenger.
