★★★★★ ★★★★★ More of a shuttle service than a cruise Donna 21 March 2022 Whitehaven beach was incredible, certainly no complaints there - but getting to and from took a very long time. Shuttle stops at Daydream, then Hamilton Island Airport, then Hamilton Island plus windy weather (so we were taken the long way around the sheltered side) meant that it took 2hrs and 45mins to reach the beach. We had less than 2 hours to enjoy it before we were loaded back onto the boat for a long ride home via all the same ports - but at Hamilton we were shuffled off the boat and made to wait for 30 minutes for another one to ferry us back to Airlie. We had 3 small kids and it made for an exhausting day. I'd look for a quicker, more direct route to whitehaven if you're keen to see it. Gave us plenty of time at Whitehaven as well as a relaxing ride around to Hamilton and daydream island. It's a good idea to bring your own snacks and drinks , you can buy on the boat if you forget. Only downside is it's difficult to find a shady spot to relax on Whitehaven.

So peaceful and tranquil to just lay on the beach and take it all in. Also there is some beautiful bush walking in the national park.
