Working with local knowledge-holders, discover the traditional art of Basket Weaving. Your guide will share all you need to know about this ancient practice, and guide you through the creation of your own basket.

This experience proudly operates on the land of the Kaurna people, the Traditional Owners of the Adelaide region. Join local elders to discover the joys of weaving in this private interactive workshop. This experience will give you the opportunity to discover traditional basket weaving, an integral skill to the First Nations people of Australia used in the creation of baskets, jewellery, and nets.

Engage in Aboriginal culture by practicing the skills and techniques used to complete the art of traditional weaving, whilst creating your own personal souvenir to take home. After your experience, feel free to explore the authentic gift shop and art gallery.

This experience is 90 minutes in duration.

Such a fun and educational experience

my partner and I had a great experience during out weaving workshop! The Aboriginal elder was so kind, funny and was excited to teach us all about Aboriginal weaving. The cultural centre is also nice and new which is very inviting. There's also a large grassy outdoor area which is lovely to sit and do weaving too. Highly recommend this unique experience
