This sea kayak tour is from Sorrento to Pt Nepean National Park and offers sheltered conditions for most of the year. The water is clear blue and pristine with abundant marine life including seals, dolphins, sea eagles and sea horses.

Your experience begins with a short discussion on the format for the day including lunch breaks, distance expected to kayak, and expected weather conditions. You are then kitted up with a PFD, spray deck, paddle jacket, thermals and a paddle before the all-important safety briefing including a dry capsize drill. Once you have done a few warm up stretches, you will be paired up into paddling partners. Most sea kayaks are double sea kayaks with a couple of single kayaks available for the more experienced paddlers in the group. After going though some basic strokes for 15 minutes (depending on the skill level of group). You'll set out on the kayak adventure, paddling as a group. As you paddle along the foreshore you can 'go back in time', observing historical houses along the cliff tops, outdoor swimming enclosures and historical shipping wrecks.

As you move closer to Pt Nepean, built up areas are left behind and dolphins, sea eagles and cormorants may be observed. Lunch and drinks are provided for everyone about half way through the trip. The lunch spot is at the former quarantine station (part of the national park) which is full of historical buildings and amazing views across Port Phillip Bay to Queenscliff. There is also time to go for a swim. The group then returns to the start in their kayaks, the gear is packed away and you can change into some warm clothes.
