Take a seat in a real V8 race car for four drive laps around the north circuit of Sydney Motorsport Park. Upon check in, you'll be run through a comprehensive pre drive briefing, covering information on the handling of the car, cornering, braking and the track map to ensure you get the most out of your drive safely. Get kitted out in your race suit and helmet before meeting your in car instructor and getting strapped in behind the wheel.

After all the anticipation, you'll be racing around the track before you know it, making the most of the no speed limit as you gun it down straights and conquer corners. During the entire drive, your in car instructor will be guiding you through the headset so that your four lap driving experience remains exciting and safe. Remember to bring along family and friends so that they can view all the high speed action from the sidelines. At the end of the session, you'll be surprised at how easy it is to drive a real V8 race car.

Choose between Ford or Holden Cars. No manual transmission driving experience necessary.

Session Length

Please allow a two to three hours for this experience, including the briefing
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking time

Guidelines

All participants must be drug and alcohol free
Participants must be at least 18 years and hold your P plate license at a minimum
A V8 automatic Holden is available (except Western Australia) for drivers who don't hold a manual license
Participants who arrive on the day of their experience and do not adhere to these guidelines will forfeit their experience
Please note there is an excess paid to the experience provider in the event of any damage caused to the car
Race days are held throughout the year on specified dates
Maximum weight limit is 130kg
Minimum height is 135cm and the maximum height is 194cm

Cancellation

This experience is non refundable.

Failure to give notice or un attendance: In the event that you redeem a voucher “convert to a booking” and you do not attend the experience date, or choose not to participate in your experience will result in your booking being unusable for any future bookings and the redemption period being void. This is due to Fastrack Experiences bearing the cost to prepare and provide your experience irrespective of your un attendance or non participation.

Standard events, $30.00 rebooking fee if booking is changed within 8 to 14 days from your booked date. $50.00 rebooking fee if booking is changed 7 days or less from your booked date.

Numbers on the Day

Your briefing will be held in a group of approximately 20 to 25 people.

Dress Code

Please wear comfortable, enclosed flat soled shoes.

Hard Sell

There is nothing wrong with the experience itself, as described you get two laps in a race style vehicle and feel the acceleration, cornering and braking they are capable of in real life. However I didn’t really like the hard sell I got to add laps or photos/videos or driver/passenger intercom. By all means offer these options at registration by way of a flyer with pricing and tick boxes but to get dragged over to the sales desk and endure the”pitch” and subsequent glares when I kept saying no thanks detracted from the overall experience.

Unfortunately didn’t feel we got the full 2 laps

2 full laps including the straight would have felt like we actually got the full 2 laps. Purchasing an extra lap for another $100 a bit out of our league so was a little disappointed overall. Staff were well organised and helpful

They cancelled it, and haven’t heard from them

We would received a text message in the morning saying that the experience had been cancelled due to wet weather; however that day was fine and sunny! They said they would contact us but they have not. I phoned and left messages. I went on their Facebook page and left a message. But have not received any call back.

The V8 Driving Experience was unreal

The actual driving experience was incredible. My driving instructor was so knowledgeable and helped get the most out of my experience. I was so surprised at how well I went with his instruction. I would do it 1000 times over. The only negative comments would be that they do try to get you to purchase all the additional things ie. Insurance, which I think should definitely be included with the price not optional. Further another $120 for two photos and your video. I also think its a shame you cant get some of your own photos with the car you're in. So if you dont want Insurance or any photos of your experience then it was top notch!
