Experience this exhilarating V8 race car driving event where you actually get to DRIVE a V8 race car on a championship race track. This experience combines 12 driving laps with 3 hot laps at Queensland Raceway, truly unforgettable.

Your V8 race car drive day begins as you register at reception prior to your pre-drive tuition. This will prepare you for driving a race prepared V8 race car with information on handling the car, cornering, braking and the track map. You are then ushered to pit lane and fitted with your own race suit and helmet. Prior to your drive, you'll be asked whether you would prefer a Ford or Holden to drive! You are then strapped in behind the wheel, introduced to your personal in-car coach and off you go for your drive of a lifetime! Through an intercom system built into the helmets, your in-car coach will encourage you through your drive with advice on gear changes and brake points so that you can drive fast and safely.
While not a race, there are no limits on speed and overtaking is common during this thrilling drive experience! Once you have completed the driving component its time to complete 3 hot laps. You will be strapped into the back seat of a specially designed V8 race car. A professional race driver will have you traveling at ridiculous speeds while talking you through the experience via an intercom fitted helmet.
Session Length
- Please allow at least 2 hours for the entire experience
- Race days are held throughout the year mostly on weekends but some midweek days are available
- We run session every half hour from 7.00am to 3.00pm, sessions are subject to availability
- During 1st Jan - 29th Mar sessions run every half hour from 7.00am to 11.30am
Guidelines
- To drive, you must hold at least a P-Plate license
- Maximum height and weight for this experience is 195cm and 130kg
- Participants should be in good physical condition with no heart problems or breathing difficulties. If you are unsure about your suitability – please contact the provider
- You will be required to sign an indemnity form prior to participating in the experience
- All Minors must be accompanied by a parent and/or legal guardian on the day
- A current photo ID for both the passenger (student ID) and parent will need to be shown along with proof of guardianship, ie Medicare card
- A Manual licence is not required however the participant must be confident in driving a manual vehicle.
Cancellation
Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy: 20% cancellation fee is in affect for any refunds processed.
Rescheduling:
- Over 2 weeks prior to the experience date: No charge
- Within 5 days prior to the experience date: $20 per person participant fee to change the experience date and time
- Within 48 hours of the experience date, No Shows and Late Arrivals: Participants forfeit their experience ad therefore are not entitled to a refund or to re-book. Participants are advised to make their own insurance provisions in case of unforseen circumstances
Numbers on the Day
The price quoted is for one person. There will be about 20 25 people in the drivers briefing. The actual drive experience is one-on-one with a coach connected to you via an intercom system similar to those that you see in international rallies.
Spectators
Spectator entry is FREE and drivers are encouraged to bring along as many family and friends as they wish. Depending on numbers some spectators are allowed to participate in the briefing.Weather
The drive may be interrupted or cancelled due to inclement weather as driving at high speed on a wet track can be dangerous. Please contact the supplier to confirm the status of the day. In the case of your drive being cancelled due to weather, we will reschedule your experience for a later date.
Dress Code
You need to wear comfortable clothing as the race suit will need to go over any clothing you choose to wear. Fully enclosed, flat soled shoes are required (normal runners are fine).
