★★★★★ ★★★★★ More of a Blast than a Safari David 29 March 2023 My wife and I bought a 2.5hr safari for an experience while visiting the Gold Coast. The positives: New equipment, safety briefing(although it was rushed a bit), knowledgeable and capable staff and very attentive... ensuring you don't get lost or left behind. The negatives: You don't really get to see much of the scenery, as it is pretty much a blur at the speed we were doing (flat out at most times). While out, the staff seem to be more interested in the faster riders. All in all, the first half of the experience wasn't too bad. We got to get the hang of the jet ski and getting some experience in maneuvering. Initially we were coached along at a relatively moderate/fast speed. As we gained a bit of confidence, the tempo was ramped up and that's where the fun ended for us, and I guess started for the faster riders. We no longer got to focus on riding skills and seeing what was going on around us, and had to blast along to keep up. When we did fall behind one of the staff would circle back and call us forward and then blast away, assuming we would follow at their speed. Really, a 1 hour safari would have been more than adequate for us. For the adrenaline junkie, this would definitely suit you. Although you partner on the back may not agree. I must say, we were prepared to be thrown around so much and please PUT LOTS OF SUNSCREEN ON !!! We got bad sunburn on our thighs, arms, hands and forehead. I fell off in the first 30mins and it wasnt sore, i was helped on to my jet ski and enjoyed the rest of the Sarafi. There was nothing to worry about. Definitely give this a go!! The guides were very friendly, knowledgeable and fun !

They had a good number of guides which allowed you to go at the pace that suited your skill level. The trip was really interesting as we got to go through the mangroves and also to get some good spray on the open water.
