Our tall ships are magnificent square rigger vessels built pre-1950s that have up to three masts reaching over 24m high. Our vessels served as flagships of the Bicentennial First Fleet re-enactment voyage from Plymouth, England in 1988 and are now the last of these heroic ships to remain on Sydney Harbour. 200 years ago, a timber sailing ship was the only way to discover Sydney Harbour. And it still is!

This menu is subject to change to ensure fresh produce of premium quality. Menu has vegetarian and gluten free options. Note that vegetarian options are not vegan.

Important information

Session Length

2.5 hour tall ship cruise.
Sailing schedule from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM.
Boarding time is 15 minutes before departure.
This cruise is only available on selected Fridays.

Guidelines

Participants must be 18 years of age or older
You must bring a valid ID to verify your name and age.
Vegetarian and gluten free catering is available if advised in advance
Strictly no BYO

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

The vessel can accommodate up to 60 people on board.

Weather

The tall ships are covered and will sail in wet weather. Please bring wet weather gear if it looks like rain. If weather conditions or other factors cause the Master to cancel the sail, a rain check for another voyage will be issued.

Dress Code

Smart casual wear is fine, please consider the weather on the day. We suggest soft low heel shoes and a warm jacket. You are welcome to bring a small cushion if required. White shirts or pants might not be a great idea and no sharp heeled shoes.

Sydney Harbour is beautiful

I have been on one before beer and wine was included. That was what I thought I paid for but beer and wine you had to pay for on the ship the drink package only included 1 brand of sparkling wine. There was no music on board. But it’s always beautiful to be on the harbour. Staff were friendly.

The Tallships Harbour cruise was a very cool & unique experience. My kids had all ball helping hoist the sails & steer the ship. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The Captain had some very entertaining stories. The whole experience was definitely fun & worthwhile.

Wonderful 90 minutes!

The Captain and hostess were very engaging. They kept us engaged with the view with stories and anecdotes. The crew was also very happy and supportive. Midway I started feeling seasick and the crew was very helpful. Except for the seasickness, the 90 minutes were over before we knew it. We also had a huge storm towards the end of the trip and we had to move inside to avoid getting drenched and we were entertained with funny sailing riddles.

Was a better then expected experience. Great to sail to the more unseen part of Darling harbour in an old sail bought that had travelled all the way from Denmark. I liked the fact that was an actual ancient sail bought and not something that was just built for tourism.

The tall ship was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. A simple cruise through the harbour with plenty of information and history from the guide. I was especially impressed with his knowledge on Australian history and politics and it was very enlightening to hear about Australia’s aboriginal history as well as the history of the harbour.
