Great location, high tea very disappointing

What a beautiful place to have high tea, up high overlooking a stunning city. The staff were attentive and very helpful. Unfortuantately the high tea itself was dissappointing, considering the price we paid. We got one hot piece of food, savoury, a slider, it was the highlight of the tea spread. Then it went downhill from there. A few store bought cube sized cheesecake style cakes. The highlight of any high tea is big fluffy scones, well, these ones were cub sized and rock hard... literally trying to eat rocks... Coffee needs to come from the restaurant below the bar. Bar 83 did not really seem to be set up for high teas. I unfortunately do not recommend having this high tea at all.

Staff n views great, food below average

I had booked high tea for a large group. Staff was awesome, views were nice, couches with stains and dated were a bad look however food was the worst. For high tea there were sad dry sliders n no sandwiches and dessert were more of store bought chocolates. They didnt have tea and coffee as well...yeah high tea with no tea!! But staff was lovely enough to get us coffee from downstairs

Sky High Tea at Bar 83 was amazing

We really enjoyed the high tea with sparkling wine at Bar 83. The views are spectacular, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the high tea tasted as delicious as it looked. It was very relaxed and not very busy and we could stay as long as we wanted to admire the views. Bar 83 is at the top of Sydney Tower so it is a great way of going up to see the views without having to pay the usual admission fees.

We made a booking for high tea, my friend gave me a $100 voucher as a late gift. We come to the venue on time and they serve as sparkling wine, a moment after they said food will be late for 15 mins. They asked if that's ok, and we said yes not really sure what will happen if we said no. We got the food after 32 mins to be exact. Only good thing about this place was the view, it felt like the food taking long does not make sense as we were the only table there, just another table came after few minutes and that's it. The booking was made a week early, it felt like they did not know there was a high tea thing and just made everything as soon as possible. We have had many red balloon high teas in the past which was amazing and this place had disappointed us. The scones don't taste fresh, the lemon tart was way too sour and the trifle cake was so dry. The rest was alright nothing special, presentation was great though, for the price i guess we did just pay for the view and wine. Felt like we wasted my friend's gift voucher. This place is just for bar not a high tea place.
