Drive a rear-wheel drive sports car for exciting driving action on a skidpan. You learn advanced car control while sliding our car on the slippery circuit. This is a very unique experience as there are very few skidpans in Australia so take the plunge and do something different!
A skid pan is an artificially slippery track which replicates driving on snow/ice or hitting a patch of oil. The driving speeds are less than 50km/h and the track is so slippery, the fun factor is extreme as you attempt to control your car with little or no traction. During the 4 hour session you will learn through experience how to recognise and control skids. This is a unique experience which not only enhances driving skills, but makes participants aware of their limitations and human reactions to adverse situations. During the session you will learn the importance of driving vision, steering & posture, skid & slide recognition (understeer, oversteer, spins) skid prevention techniques and skid control (reactive throttle control, steering correction, balance points).
Participants must be 18 years of age or above.
Maximum of 12 participants per group.
A maximum of 1 spectator per person is allowed.
In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider. If your experience is cancelled you will be rescheduled by the provider.
Participants must wear closed footwear (no thongs or sandals).

This experience takes place at the RACQ Mobility Centre located in Cornubia (southern suburbs of Brisbane) and within 50 minutes of Gold Coast in South-east Queensland.
