Dive in at the deep end for the ultimate test of your nerves with this thrilling underwater guided tour that allows you to explore SEA LIFE Sydney's four million litre Oceanarium in full scuba equipment. You'll come face-to-face with grey nurse sharks, seven-gill sharks, giant stingrays and an abundance of exotic fish during this dive, with fully qualified instructors there to ensure you get the absolute most from this exhilarating, never-to-be-forgotten experience. Suitable for both certified and non-certified divers, your experience will begin with an Introduction to Scuba Diving briefing and pool skills session prior to you taking the plunge and will conclude with an afternoon theory class where you can reflect on just how energising and uplifting your dive left you feeling.

Restrictions

The below is a list of medical conditions that may prohibit you from taking part in the Shark Dive for your own safety: Asthma Heart Disease Epilepsy Diabetes Chest Conditions including Pneumothorax Sinus Conditions Ear problems/surgery High blood pressure Pregnancy (pregnant women are not permitted to dive) Please make sure you read and complete the medical questionnaire & clearance form before booking. Guidelines

This experience is for weekday bookings only
Minimum age 14 (those aged 14-18 must be accompanied by an adult)
You must be able to swim
Scuba Diving is physically demanding and can be dangerous if you suffer from certain medical conditions
If you have a pre-existing condition but still want to dive, you must get medical clearance before your experience
All non-certified divers are required to complete medical declaration on the day

Important Restrictions Before booking your Shark Dive, please take note of the following restrictions: DO NOT drink alcohol the night before your dive DO NOT fly in an aircraft within 12 hours of your dive

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
Shark Dive is non-refundable

Numbers on the Day

Each session runs with a maximum of five people.

Weather

The water temperature will remain at approximately 21 degrees Celcius all year around.

Dress Code

A towel and bathers are all that is required. If you have your own mask and full-length wetsuit please feel free to bring them along.

Shark dive extreme is an awesome experience.participants safety and comfort was the staffs highest priority before,during and after the dive.excellent instructions and communication.The sharks and other creatures were amazing.i would definitely recommend this activity.

Overall a good experience. Instructors were incredible and friendly. Would have enjoyed a brief history on the animals we were about to encounter prior to the dive to give us a better appreciation. Charging an additional $120 for photos to the already pricey dive rate was terrible. Would have been okay if the photos were of sound quality but they were not.

I bought two vouchers as a wedding present to my wife. Our instructor Brett met us at the time and place pointed out and made us feel at ease straight away. For two people that have never even seen a set of scuba gear the pre-dive brief and safety instructions were clear and easy to follow as were the practical components. The dive itself was amazing, the two instructors, Brett and Jess, we're very knowledgeable on the marine life and gave a run down on what we'd see before the dive. Even though we knew we were diving with sharks I still didn't expect to get as close as we did to these massive creatures, but we never felt in danger just in awe. Brett was kind enough to find a shark tooth and gave it to us as a wedding present. The tour went for the full time allotted and was just the right amount of time underwater for us. Brett took some awesome photos and videos. Our only drama was that the USB stick we got with all the photos didn't work but we are organising to get another one.

Unbelievable experience, the instructors made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. This was my first ever dive and it has now encouraged me to pursue diving as a new hobby! Great experience, super safe and highly recommended.

From meeting the instructor (Portia) to the end the experience was so great! Portia was an incredible tour guide, explained everything so well and was really genuine and the experience itself was great!!!! It went for 2.5 hours and I felt calm even though I had never scuba dived before and the sharks swam literally right next to our faces!!!! Incredible experience and really well done. My husband and I loved it.

The experience I had whilst doing the shark dive extreme was absolutely incredible! It was always on my bucket list to do that and actually being there in that tank with those beautiful grey nurse sharks felt surreal. I loved it so much and would even do it again! One of the most amazing things I’ve ever done.
