Your luxury boat is perfect for an intimate cruise with your loved one, or alternatively a small corporate function or social gathering. Licensed to seat up to 10 passengers, the Harvey A offers a private, luxury cruising experience designed to create a feeling of ownership of your vessel for the duration of your cruise. Harvey A is a fully electric powered vessel which means a quieter cruise for you and your guests with no fumes and emissions, and the option of a fully enclosed cabin should Melbourne turn to inclement weather. With no license required, the Harvey A can be yours a two hour cruise. Take in Melbourne's feature landmarks from a completely new perspective, such as the Botanical Gardens, Herring Island Park, the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Southbank, Federation Square and Docklands.

Important information

Session Length

This hire is 2 hours in duration
Please arrive 15 minutes before your hire starts for a safety briefing
Failure to return the boat in time incurs a charge of $50 per 15 minutes late

Guidelines

A security bond of $500 required, taken as pre-authorization from a valid credit card, is required before your hire commences
The driver must be aged 21 years or older and be able to prove so with valid identification
The driver must remain sober with a 0.0 Blood Alcohol Content at all times during the hire
Available Monday to Friday
Not available on weekends and school holidays

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
Any changes to booking date and time of booking incurs a $50 admin fee
If bad weather prevents booking from proceeding your booking will be rescheduled to another suitable date. No refund will be given.

Numbers on the Day

The boat is licensed to seat a maximum of 10 people.

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider. If the experience is cancelled due to poor weather, you will be rescheduled by the experience provider directly.

Floating Down the Yarra

My family had a wonderful time. Great boat it fitted all 9 of us in comfortably. Easy to drive sounds complex but isn't really. Highly recommend to anyone

Melbourne Boat Hire self drive hire was great use of our red balloon vouchers I received for a milestone birthday. The boat was easy to drive, the amenities and set up perfect for our group to self cater with spacious and comfy seating, tables with cloths, fridge to keep our beverages chilled. Even on a wet Melbourne day we stayed warm and dry and loved this red balloon experience seeing the sites from a great vantage point. It was so much fun.

This was a great experience for everyone except the driver! It was my hubbies birthday with his whole family. Such a lovely way to celebrate even if the weather is not so lovely. The boats were clean, comfortable and well appointed. The roof and clear sides provided a cosy interior that comfortably fitted the 10 of us. The steering is very sensitive and not that easy to drive.

We had the best time, I booked the lunch cruise for my pre birthday, and to gift to my friends for their birthdays over Summer. We supplied our own luncheon and drinks. Having four seasons in one day it was great to have the roof and side curtains . This was a very Classy cruise boat.

It was a wonderful ride for us. I hired the boat to propose my partner and I took her in the middle of the river and then proposed her. We had the best time! So relaxing and fun cruising up the river. The bloke that showed us around was really nice. The shade was perfect, made us feel superior to the other boaters.

I would definitely book this experience again! Everything was super simple to understand, driving the boat was so easy and the staff were super friendly. I went with a group of 3 and it was the best way to just enjoy the company of your friends whilst seeing Melbourne in the best light. Highly recommend this experience if you are looking for a relaxing way to enjoy a nice day with a group of people.

Best night for whole family. Fun, relaxing plus a learning experience for the kids to see the city scape from this angle. The kids brought a friend and we grabbed pizzas at the warf. Boat was roomy and well equiped. Staff friendly and helpful.
