Meet some of Sea World's adorable seals during an exclusive behind the scenes encounter. Sitting in the Seal Theatre, you'll have the opportunity to interact with these gentle and playful creatures whilst learning about their behaviour and unique personalities.

Seal encounter at Sea World

Calling all animal lovers! Sea World is giving you the opportunity to get up close and personal with rescued seals on the Gold Coast. Your encounter will have you meeting long-nosed fur seals, Australian sea lions or Californian sea lions. Although you don't enter the water, participants will learn about their behaviour and quirky personalities from the trainer. Discover their playful and loveable nature on this intimate animal experience as you witness a number of different seal behaviours. The Seal Encounter program is approximately 20 minutes in duration and all participants must hold a valid Sea World pass to enter the park.

Please note: Participants must purchase a Sea World entry ticket or hold a valid One Pass to enter Sea World. Sea World entry is NOT included in this experience.

This experience is 20 minutes in duration
Sea World - Current operating hours are 10am - 5pm
Open from 1.30pm to 5pm on ANZAC Day (25 April)
Closed Christmas Day (25 December)
Rides and attractions are subject to change to enable maintenance and some rides and attractions will not operate during inclement weather conditions.
Please note queue lines may close earlier to allow attractions to finish in line with park closing times.

Guidelines

Participants must be aged five years and over and be a minimum height of 110cm. Participants will be measured on the day of the program without footwear
Participants must wear footwear
Participants must have controlled motor movement
Participants must follow directions quickly to the satisfaction of staff
Participants must be able to quickly exit the pool area unassisted
Participants must be able to speak and/or understand English, or have a translator participate in the program with them. There are no complimentary programs for translators. Persons acting as a translator must advise staff at the start of the program. Translators must satisfy all criteria
Guests with disabilities are asked to contact Village Roadshow Theme Parks directly to determine suitability to participate in the Animal Adventures programs. Please note a limited number of special needs programs are available for people with disabilities that otherwise prohibit them from participating

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
No cancellations or refunds

Some ride or show closures due to weather may occur.

Dress Code

Guests are not permitted to wear any visible jewellery of any type.

Sea World is located on the Gold Coast, five minutes' drive north of Surfers Paradise.
