Discover what lies beneath the sea! This 2-day PADI open water course marks the beginning of your scuba diving adventures. A team of professional instructors and assisting Dive Masters provide a superlative environment for attaining your license to dive up to 18 metres below the sea!
To become an Open Water Certified Scuba Diver you must complete three components, generally taught over 3 days. The 2-day course involves developing the knowledge behind scuba diving through home study via PADI’s great new E-learning platform! No more long classroom sessions, you can now study at your own pace and complete quizzes and exams on your own time! You will complete confined water dives in the heated onsite training pool under the supervision of your qualified PADI instructor. This component enables you to develop skills and procedures of safe diving and to become comfortable with diving techniques before heading out for your open-water dives.
Over the 2 days, you will complete four open water dives Again you will practice skills learnt in the pool and begin your discovery of the amazing and diverse marine life of the underwater world. On completion of the course, you will be a PADI Open Water Certified Diver, with an Internationally recognised passport to dive around the world! You'll be able to discover spectacular creatures including the famous weedy sea dragons and sea horse gardens plus world-class dive sites which include sunken submarines and shipwrecks! This operator has recently won the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Victorian Tourism Award for Adventure Tourism so you are in safe hands.
Please note: There is a mandatory session the night prior to the course from 6.00pm- 9.00pm for equipment fit out and course information.
Once this experience is confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to their policy.
Courses operate with a minimum of 4 students and up to a maximum of 8 students per instructor. In the event that minimum numbers are not met, you will be rescheduled by the experience provider.
In case of poor weather, the course will be rescheduled or international visitors will be given a referral to complete the course elsewhere.
You will need to bring with you on the day, bathers & 2 towels, a medical certificate from a Dive Doctor (if required) and also a pen & writing paper or notepad.
