Just 1.5 hours north of Sydney, you and your partner will begin a unique overnight escape from beautiful Hardy’s Bay, Killcare. You will board Tabasco, a spacious Seawind 1160 sailing catamaran, designed for comfort, stability and relaxed cruising. With generous deck space, comfortable cabins, a fully equipped galley, bathroom and Bluetooth sound system, this is a private floating retreat for two.

Help raise the mainsail, trim the sheets or simply sit back and enjoy the view as your skipper takes you sailing through the sheltered waterways of Brisbane Water and Broken Bay. Depending on the conditions, your sail may include Iron Ladder Beach, Lion Island, Pittwater or the lower Hawkesbury River. After your sail, you will return to Hardy’s Bay where the catamaran will be safely moored for your private overnight stay.

Tabasco is a comfortable and stable sailing catamaran with excellent outdoor space and shelter, making your time aboard enjoyable in a range of conditions. Your 3-hour private sail gives you the chance to take the helm, relax on deck or simply enjoy the coastline, national park scenery and calm waters. After the sail, your skipper will settle the vessel back onto its mooring in Hardy’s Bay for the evening.

Your skipper will run you through the vessel, answer any questions and then leave you to enjoy a romantic night aboard your own private catamaran. Watch the sunset over Brisbane Water National Park, enjoy dinner under the stars and wake up surrounded by the calm waters of Hardy’s Bay. The following morning, your skipper will return to collect you after breakfast and bring you safely back to the jetty.

This experience books out quickly during the warmer months and on weekends. Consider booking well in advance.
Your skipper will spend approx 4 hours on the yacht with you including about 3 hours of sailing before leaving you alone for your romantic night on board

Guidelines

All you need to bring along is suitable clothing, including non marking shoes and your favorite beverage
Sailing experience is not required, however a basic level of fitness is

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Weather

Sailing may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions such as strong winds, which would make sailing dangerous. In the case that your experience is cancelled, you will be rescheduled for a later date. There is adequate cover on the yacht to still allow sailing to take place when raining, however the final decision will be made by the skipper.

Dress Code

Please wear suitable clothing for the conditions including a wind jacket on cooler days. Only flat soled non-marking shoes are allowed to be worn on deck (bare feet is preferred). During the summer months, if you wish to wear a hat or sunglasses please ensure they are tied on or securely fitted.

Exceeded our expectations, unforgettable

Purchased as a surprise birthday getaway for my Husband, I was excited to tick it off his bucket-list, it far exceeded my expectations & he was blown away. Bruce & Peter are true gentleman, Lason was beautiful, I brought my own food & alcohol however catering is available & the general store is licensed so we could have purchased there. The bed was comfortable, linen clean, the galley well stocked & had everything we needed. Bruce gave us the safety run down & showed us how the lights, gas stove/oven, toilet/shower & radio worked then left us on a mooring, back the next morning for a cruise/sail on Brisbane Waters, a great & knowledgeable storyteller & guide. 10/10 stars this is a must do adventure ✨️

My partner and I recently stayed on Bruce’s yacht and it was such an incredible evening. The bay where the boat was situated was completely protected. There was a storm happening on the out skirts which was like a real life light show! We sat there for hours watching the lightening light up the bay. Bruce himself was truely a great host. He was so accomodating to all our needs and communication was great. Unfortunately due to the weather, our sailing part was postponed. The whole experience was stress free, fun and comfortable. We are super excited to sail with Bruce! We couldn’t recommend this Experience more. 10/10 from us! Thanks Bruce and see you soon :)

The overnight stay was amazing, and Bruce provided a great experience. Communication was very clear and we were even offered to reschedule due to a rainy forecast however the day and evening ended up being great weather. We had all the facilities to keep us comfortable including stove and kettle. Kayaks were also provided so we could do some exploration ourselves which was bonus. Thanks Bruce and hope to sail again!

Amazing Weekend Getaway

What a wonderful weekend. Thank you so much to Bruce and Joshua for an incredible stay. Communication with Bruce was extremely easy, he reached out the week before our trip to give us a few more details and again the night before. He replied to all my emails and texts within an hour or two max and he was waiting for us at the jetty when we arrived to welcome us onto the boat. The boat is beautiful, plenty of room inside and out. We spend the first portion of our trip sunbathing at the front, then set up the table in the back for cheese and wine while watching the sunset. We were able to make dinner in the kitchen on the boat (very well stocked), and same again for breakfast. During the sail Bruce gave us a lot of info on the local area and Joshua shared stories of his upbringing in the marine life. We were able to enjoy conversations with them both as well as head to the front to chill just us. Overall I couldn't recommend this experience enough - thanks so much for the great trip guys, will hopefully we shall meet again on the next boat!

We have just had a wonderful trip on the beautiful yacht Batavia with her very informative and experienced captain Bruce who showed us the sights and gave us a sailing adventure to remember .We were privileged to witness expert sailing skills and also saw sea eagles with a catch circling over a stunning beach . Batavia has all the facilities you could wish for to create a perfect time .The seafood was delicious and plentiful. Batavia has the Serenity and most certainly ‘the vibe’ Thank you Bruce !
