Rainforest, Wildlife & Pamagirri Aboriginal Dance Experience

To start your journey, you will board an amphibious World War II Army Duck for a unique rainforest tour on both land and water. Your experienced and friendly guide will identify and explain fascinating plants and wildlife as you pass close by through the rainforest. Then head over to the Tropical Fruits Orchard, with over 40 different species of exotic tropical fruit trees. You will also learn about Indigenous culture with the interactive Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience. Here you will settle back and enjoy a traditional dance performance in a rainforest amphitheatre. Then join the Dreamtime Walk which includes boomerang throwing, spear-throwing and didgeridoo playing.

Next, visit the Koala and Wildlife Park which has native Australian species such as wombats, dingoes, and the cassowary. The wildlife park also showcases the only Tasmanian Devils in North Queensland. You can also hand feed kangaroos and wallabies. Then head over to the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary which catalogues the largest butterfly flight aviary and exhibit in Australia. It is home to over 1500 magnificent native tropical butterflies, you’ll be enchanted by the aerial dynamics of these elusive wonders of nature as you wander through the aviary gardens. Your knowledgeable guide will take you through the rainforest aviary and breeding lab, where you will learn about the butterfly’s life cycle and behaviour. Be sure to wear something bright and let these beautiful and colourful creatures flutter all over you as you wander through!
