Gourmet and wilderness; you wouldn't think those words go together but they do on this tour! On this wildlife viewing tour you'll get up close to kangaroos, pademelon and Bennett's wallaby, eastern quolls, possums and more. Sit back, dine on a campfire dinner and view these characters from the bush.
The tour starts with a visit to the stunning Ben Lomond National Park. Take in the beautiful views from this spectacular mountain of dolerite columns and scree slopes; home to 8 of the 20 highest peaks in Tasmania. You may even be able to view native wildlife along the way.
Travel via the Roses Tier forests to your dinner destination on private acreage. Sit down to a campfire dinner with your friendly guide and get ready for a 4 course meal, full of hearty Tassie produce. With the local forester kangaroos grazing close by, you’ll start with a Tasmanian cheese platter, then you’ll move onto mountain wallaby burgers and native spiced salmon. Warm up by the campfire and enjoy a few Tasmanian beers or wines, while your host entertains you with tales of the area.
As the sun sets, you’ll see the nocturnal wildlife come out to play! Watch as eastern quolls, Bennett’s wallabies, wombats, pademelon wallabies and brush tail possums scurry and scramble within arm’s reach. An amazing wildlife encounter that will astound and delight.
