Highly desirable workshop

Tracey 29 July 2023

Our teacher Sharon had a very knowledgeable and creative approach to photography. This outdoor session included a range of portrait situations with natural light and a delightful very patient model. I found the experience thought provoking, and a useful tool to take my photography to another level. I would highly recommend.

A great portrait photography workshop for newbies

Barbara 1 February 2018

As an enthusiastic amateur photographer I am keen to learn new genres of photography. I was keen to learn portraiture but didn't know where to start. This workshop is a great introduction to portrait photography outside of a studio. Sharon taught us to observe and use the natural light and how to direct our wonderful model to achieve images that expressed the models character and inner strength. I can really recommend this workshop to people new to portrait photography

The workshop was amazing and perfect

Phil 8 January 2017

Nice work of Shane and Sharon by organising such great workshop, and enables us to learn from the professional, e.g. how to observe the light and direct the model. The models (dancers) are amazing too and showcased their skills and personalities with the graffiti and colourful wall in Chippendale as the backdrop.

Very useful, though a tiny bit crowded

Simon 14 August 2015

Almost every other photography course is aimed at amateurs, so this was a great option. It was a tremendously useful and educational day. There were plenty of tips and we were able to put them into practice. It was a little crowded with about 10 of us for one model, which meant there was a tiny bit too much waiting around sometimes, but this far from blighted the experience and it was a thoroughly enjoyable and useful day. It somehow managed to be useful for rank beginners to those of us who had basic understanding of lighting.

Overall, a very recommendable day.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Shane and Daniel, and had a great time! I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to be in for when entering, but I was very impressed with everything the day consisted of. Daniel and Shane were both really nice guys and have the ability to make a somewhat pretty intimidating situation feel as relaxed as possible. I am very happy with the knowledge and little confidence boost that I walked away with.
