From here, the adventure intensifies as you descend to a minimum of just 500 feet for a low-level coastal fly-by along Sydney’s stunning Northern Beaches. Flying from Manly all the way to Palm Beach, you’ll skim above the coastline with crystal-clear views of the ocean below. If conditions allow, keep an eye out for migrating whales and playful pods of dolphins.

Once over Palm Beach, those feeling brave can opt in to a mild-grade aerobatic sequence. Experience gentle loops, rolls and increased G-forces as you soar through the skies, all while enjoying the unique sensation of open cockpit flying with nothing between you and the horizon. Participation in aerobatics is entirely optional, allowing you to tailor the experience to your comfort level. Flying in the iconic Red Baron Pitts Special biplane, this flight offers a raw, immersive and incredibly responsive flying experience that few aircraft can match. Guidelines

All passengers must be in good physical health
You must be over the age of 14 years to fly; those aged under 18 must have parental consent
Passengers will not be permitted to fly if they are under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Passengers are not permitted to carry anything on the flight as loose objects could pose a safety risk
Avoid alcohol, greasy foods, carbonated drinks and energy drinks before your flight. For best results with motion sickness a light meal 1-2 hours before your flight is recommended.
If you have accessibility requirements please let the provider know in advance so they can make sure to have all the facilities you might require

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Spectators

Friends and family are welcome to accompany you on the day. They can relax in our comfortable flight lounge while you enjoy the experience. They will join you for your mission briefing and photos as you walk out to the aircraft. Spectators can watch your departure and will be there to greet you on landing. After your flight, we’ll play your video on the big screen so you can relive the experience together.

Weather

Red Baron reserves the right to cancel or reschedule flights if conditions may affect the safety of the experience. Safety is always our highest priority. Weather conditions, aircraft serviceability and pilot availability may determine whether a flight can proceed at the scheduled date and time. If your flight is deemed unsuitable to operate, we will contact you to arrange an alternative time. Poor weather conditions may include, but are not limited to, low cloud cover, rain, adverse wind conditions, or forecast temperatures exceeding 33°C.

Dress Code

You will be suited up in a pilot flight suit, similar in specification to those used by the Australian and US Air Forces. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing suitable for the weather on the day. Enclosed shoes are required. Sunglasses and a hair tie for long hair are highly recommended.

Hands down, the best experience I've ever done

[Employee of redballoon] I had no idea what I was in for when I signed up to do this experience - but WOW. It is incredible to feel the control that the pilot had, the amazing manouvers, and just how calm they are. I loved being taught before-hand how to stop myself passing out (!) when the Gs changed, and the voice in my headset always asking if I was up for another trick. I bought it for my sister afterwards as a gift, and we both absolutely loved it.
