So you have got your hands on a new camera and are ready to go out and capture some fantastic images. Come and learn how to take high quality digital images on this 'hands-on' practical digital photography course - whether you are new to photography or taking a step up from a compact camera.
Digital imaging provides a sharp learning curve due largely to its convenience, cost effectiveness and creative flexibility. During this course, you learn the intricacies of the digital world, leaving you confident with your newly acquired technical and artistic skills. You will leave the course competent to shoot anything from products and portraits, to landscapes or a genre of choice. Understanding your digital camera, unraveling your creative ability all at once you will learn all the fundamentals of this exciting medium as you take full manual control.
During this course you will attend a boutique photography studio for 8x2 hr sessions. Sunday afternoon, on week 5 of your workshop there is a 3 hr field trip which covers daylight, sunset and night photography. This is in addition to studio demonstrations and practicals and will allow you to learn new skills as you shoot. On the final week the best of your imagery is examined in a stunning digital slide show accompanied by pizza and soft drinks. Then unwind and say farewell!
Please note: This course is NOT recommended for compact cameras without full manual capability. Suitable for Digital SLR or Mirrorless Cameras.
Commencing 7pm to 9pm various week nights for 8 weeks.
Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to their policy.
Our workshop numbers are restricted to a maximum of 12 to ensure personal attention. Group bookings are welcome. We happily take group bookings. Why not get a bunch of friends or colleagues and share this unique experience?
This workshop is indoors except for the field trip. Should it rain on the day of the field trip the experience provider will reschedule to a later date. The Field Trip will, however, be run in the case of very light sporadic showers.
Dress in casual and comfortable clothes.
The studio is based in Alexandria, Sydney. Locations for photo shoots: The Rocks, CBD and the studio.
